ZRP Dispatches Helicopter In Hunt For Cop Killer

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on Sunday deployed a helicopter to (Wedza) Hwedza district’s Chiduku area to hunt for the ex-policeman who allegedly shot and killed three people including a senior police officer on Friday.
Jaison Muvhevhi, who is a former Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer, shot and killed a white garment church leader at his shrine before killing a senior police officer and seriously injuring another.
Muvhevhi is also accused of fatally shooting another person at a nearby shopping centre.
Heavily-armed police officers swarmed both Chiduku and Makanda areas on Sunday.
The helicopter was spotted at Bagdad Bussiness Centre with scores of law enforcement agents in police-branded vehicles roaming the area.
Muvhevhi, a gold dealer, reportedly fled into a mountain in the Chiduku area on Saturday after another shootout with the police.
He reportedly abandoned his car, some goods and an FN rifle which he had taken from some police officers in Wedza after overpowering them. | NewsDay

Wow!... a chopper for a lone wolf is not a good idea. A simple stick of undercover cops would do better for this wolf. However... I doubt if he would be found alive, he might commit suicide.

that is the practice world wide sha, ask our brothers and sisters who live out of the country, they will tell you kuti helicopters are used to hunt down crime perpetrators including border jumpers. iwe ukuda kuti mapurisa afambe netsoka vachitsvaga munhu here? for your own info, a helicopter is very convenient for that, it has got binoculars and cameras, and it transverses the mountain.
