Kaizer Chiefs forward and former Warriors talisman Khama Billiat will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to treat a groin problem.
Billiat picked up the injury before the 2022 FIFA World Cup break. He made some progress in his recovery and even returned to light training a month ago, but aggravated the injury.
Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner told the club’s website that Billiat will be out for the rest of the season. He said:
Currently, our injury list consists of Khama Billiat, who had surgery to repair a torn groin muscle. He’ll be out for the rest of the season.
Billiat made 11 appearances across all competitions this season, registering three assists but failed to find the back of the net.
