The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) says the June examinations are back after they were put on hold two years ago as a COVID-19 containment measure in schools.
ZIMSEC spokesperson Ms Nicky Dlamini confirmed the return of the June examinations adding that the authorities have finalised consultations to ascertain the value of recommencing the tests. She told Sunday News in an interview:
Yes, the Zimsec June examinations are back, and registration is underway. The fees have not changed they remain the same as last year. Government is subsidising examination fees for all public schools while private schools remain unsubsidised.
Fees per Subject for O-Level Exams:
i). Learners in public schools – US$11,
ii). Private candidates and those in private schools – US$24
Fees per Subject for Advanced level:
a). Public schools – US$22
b). Private candidates and those in private schools – US$48 per subject.
Registration is already underway.
