The ruling ZANU PF has responded to claims that Happiness Nyakuedzwa, the party’s Chairwoman for Manicaland Province was suspended for alleged failure to abide by party policies, rules and regulations.
In a statement seen by Pindula News, the party’s spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa, said Nyakuedzwa is “wholly on the reins of provincial Women’s League leadership and is fully discharging her duties and responsibilities.” Reads the statement:

ZANU PF wishes to put it on record that Cde Happiness Nyakuedzwa’s position as Chairwoman for Manicaland Province remains as it has been since she was elected. She is wholly on the reins of provincial Women’s League leadership and is fully discharging her duties and responsibilities. She is ardently focussed at carrying out her mandate of voter registration and membership mobilisation with an acceng on the ongoing cell verification programs. The tantalizing prize being a landslide victory for President ED Mnangagwa and the Party in the impending Harmonised National Elections. ZANU PF applauds the unity of purpose and sterling work being done by Party structures and affiliates in grassroots mobilisation.
