Leading retailer Spar Zimbabwe’s policy on the safety of employees has been questioned, after an employee was brutally murdered on her way home from work on Monday.
Faith Musonza (37) a Spar Hatfield employee, was found dead in a pool of bloody without nipples, a story that has stunned many Zimbabweans.
It is alleged that Musonza, who left behind two children, was murdered on her way home after finishing work at 7pm.
Police confirmed the sad development saying;
Police in Harare are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which Faith Musonza (36) was found dead in a drain near her house along Chiremba Road, Chadcombe, Hatfield on 13/02/23.
The victim’s nipples were cut with an unknown sharp object and were missing. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.
Popular actress , Proportional Representation legislator and talk show hostess Tatenda Mavetera, in a tweet, questioned Spar’s policy on the safety of its workers. She said;
My condolences to Faith Musonza’s family. My question to Spar is what is their company policy on safety of workers after knocking off late because 7pm is late for any woman? The safety of female workers is very important they should be protected.
