A body of an unidentified man with wounds on the chest and stomach was found early on Monday morning in a silver Honda Fit just outside Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare.
The Herald reported that the man’s body was lying in the back seat of the vehicle which was parked near the main gate along Mazowe Street.
The vehicle was not properly parked as it was along the pavement and this attracted the curiosity of some passers-by who went to investigate.
The body was reportedly lying in the back seat.
A team of detectives from CID Homicide, CID Studios, and CID Forensics went to the scene to conduct investigations.
Lameck Kwari, who is employed as a security guard near the hospital told The Herald that he was the one who reported the incident to the police. He said:
I was among the first people to arrive at the scene and when I touched the man, I discovered that he was already dead and I proceeded to Harare Central Police Station to make a report.
