Music producer Arnold Kamudyariwa, popularly known as DJ Fantan, and Zimdancehall musician Silent Killer, whose real name is Jimmy Mudereri, are now working together again after their acrimonious fallout last year.
Fantan and Silent Killer were at loggerheads since last year after the latter assaulted Fantan’s younger brother, Tinashe Kamudyariwa, over an undisclosed issue.
Tinashe was admitted to the hospital after the bashing, while Silent Killer was later cleared of the charges.
Silent Killer was subsequently banished from Chillspot Records, which is co-owned by DJ Fantan.
Fantan recently confirmed to The Sunday Mail that the two are working together again. He said:
We cannot allow the past to negatively affect our future. What happened between me and Silent Killer a year ago is now water under the bridge.
He will feature on our new riddim, which is set to be released at the weekend.
On his part, Silent Killer said:
Bad things happened but it is all in the past. We ironed out our differences and we are currently working together on a new production.
Fantan is my mentor and role model, whom I am proud to be working with.
Silent Killer recently released a new 41-song album titled “Hurungwere”.
