CCC Activist Urges Chamisa To Join Mwonzora's Delimitation Report Court Challenge

Freeman Chari, a Zimbabwean software engineer based in the United States of America, says CCC should join MDC-T Douglas Mwonzora’s urgent chamber application at the High Court seeking the nullification of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) delimitation report.

Chari, who is sympathetic to the Nelson Chamisa-led party, believes that while it appears to be politically incorrect, CCC should join Mwonzora’s court application, saying it captures all the issues that he has raised over the past 12 months that need to be attended to, to ensure a credible election. Chari wrote on Twitter:

1. Personally, l don’t have anything against the court challenge. It captures all the things l spoke about from March 2022. The reason l spoke so passionately abt all these things was that we could tell the complications of the future. It took people 11 months to pay attention.

2. Everyone within CCC that l spoke to except a few trivialized the impact of the wrong delimitation formula. Some still do up to today because they believe we can win the presidency even under the circumstances. Which makes me question a lot of things.
3. What frustrates me more is that CCC is being nudged into decisions by agendas set by the system. It feels like a flow chart. Those who were there in 2013 should be feeling a sense of de javu.

4. Because the case has been brought by Doug, it is now feeling like a poisoned chalice. Regardless of the merits, the politics is dictating that CCC can’t be part of it. I want to argue that, CCC should do the unpredictable and join it…
5. Remember how in 1998 everyone was pro-land reform except ZANU? For those who don’t remember, listen to Mapfumo’s Set the people free or Chimbetu’s Zuva Raenda. Mugabe, unpredictably metamorphosed into a champion of land reform overnight to grab the impetus…
6. The expectation is for CCC not to support this and plunge into an election that is heavily gerrymandered and unfair all because of hubris. I would urge CCC to prepare for elections intensively if they go ahead, enter under protest.
7. An election with a bad delimitation, without a voter roll, without polling station names, without free campaign etc is an illegitimate election that will produce an illegitimate result. So again, PREPARE for election, CHALLENGE the delimitation, participate under PROTEST.

@ zuva name calling is not for this space, but facts are. Its indisputable that Douggie was given a political lifeline by the court. He has been to statehouse on several occassions. To do what? And he was often quoted as saying negotiations will occur soon. Those who are afraid will not want elections and they will use the judges for that purpose. The concourt vedict will be in mwonzora' s favour, just waot and see so that mnangagwa will say my hands are tied and so l cant announce election dates. At tge expiry of his current mandate they will say lets have a GNU to get gvt operating. Tge unelectable Mwonzora will get another lifeline. just wait and see

Noone name called you sir/madam. The fact I'm pointing out is that Zanu pf is oiled better than before and is ready to go for elections. With tightened screws everywhere from the report, to banned rallies its evident who has the upper hand on the political field. Currently chamisa and the ccc are being pushed to make decisions by agendas set by the system, they aren't influencing the system enough which again goes on to show where the power lies right now. Yes chamisa has the people but some are beginning to doubt him coz they don't know where they're headed. Your theories on this, I'm afraid I don't see any GNU happening, these guys would rather destroy any opposition threat than to join hands with them

l smell something fishy. Mwonzora is being used to help craft s GNU scenario. Zanu and MDC will form a GNU and elections will not be done. Thats the strategy and what we are seeing is the implementation. Is CCC joins Mwonzora , it will play right into the hands of zanu and its enablers

Errors in a delimitation report does not render the report illegal.Errors in the delimination report can always be corrected.Sekuru vari ku Zaka havanei nema coordinates e polling station.All they need is to be shown physically where the polling station is.

Chari is ex-Pachedu.Pachedu wanted CCC to sue ZEC over the delimitation report. CCC did not see merit in that, Matabeleland Provinces with fewer registered voters would lose a large number of constituencies. So Pachedu then decided to push their agenda through the MDC.There is no way the CCC would want to be seen to be following Muwonzora's MDC.

Unfortunately CCC does not work with nonentities . Dougie and his MDCT cannot influence political events in Zim, they don't have the support of the masses. If Dougie takes the lead then CCC can't be seen to be following, leaders don't follow. It's funny that Freeman still thinks he can advise CCC, he makes a note himself that he has been saying this for the past 5 years and noone has taken his advice, what has changed now. Freeman you should take the advice given to Trevor Ncube, if Chamisa is not listening then find another candidate to advise or form your own party as they say in CCC. Chamisa gets his advice direct from heaven, he speaks directly with God that's why he says God is in it. Why do people get bothered about Chamisa when there are many other political parties in Zimbabwe.

Valid points there but I'm sure ccc top brass know the report is somehow flawed but again chamisa's hands are tied as it will be politically incorrect to follow Mwonzora's moves lol. I feel for the young man. He's being outsmarted evidently on the political field, Zimbabwe is far from removing zanu pf that's for sure🤣
