Dynamos on Sunday moved to the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) table after beating top-flight debutants Sheasham 4-0 at the National Sports Stadium.
DeMbare scored three goals before the half-time break and added a fourth late in the second half.
The two opening goals were gifts delivered by Sheasham defender Zivanai Chikwenhere.
Chikwenhere beat his own goalkeeper Liberty Chirava at the near post from a corner kick three minutes into the match and again with a misplaced backpass on the half-hour mark.
DeMbare captain Frank Makarati converted from the penalty spot in the 34th minute after Arnold Dirau had fouled Tendai Matindife inside the box.
The Glamour Boys’ top goalscorer in 2022 Emmanuel Paga stretched to convert in the 84th minute following a delivery from substitute Eli Ilunga.
Dynamos could have had far more than their four goals considering their dominance in the first half.
The Glamour Boys are now top of the log on goal difference as FC Platinum also have six points from two matches.
Dynamos coach Herbert Maruwa expressed satisfaction with both the result and the performance. He said:
It was a massive game, we managed to get an early goal which eased some nerves.
They (Sheasham) had a game plan. They congested the midfield, so we realised that and we started by-passing the area.
So they ended up making a lot of mistakes at the back and we capitalised. So far so good, we are taking one game at a time.
It’s good for our football when you see fans coming back. Now we need to make sure we play good football to entertain them.
In other matches played on Sunday, Yadah lost 1-2 to Hwange, while Manica Diamonds and Triangle United drew 0-0.
