Tongayi Arnold Chirisa, a United States-based Zimbabwean actor, has landed a role in the Hollywood movie, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.’
Chirisa will voice the character of Cheetor in the popular Hollywood action movie.
He will be alongside other renowned actors including Peter Dinklage, Ron Perman and Michelle Yeoh in the movie which is set to be released on the 9th of June.
He rose to fame in Zimbabwe when he starred as the Detective in Zimbabwean soap Studio 263 before he later landed a role in the South African top movie by Leon Schuster, Mr Bones 2.
The talented actor has been basking in success after landing roles in Hollywood where he has starred in NCIS Los Angeles, Robinson Crusoe, AMC horror Mayfair Witches and horror movie Antebellum which stars American rapper and actress Janelle Monae.
Chirisa has been reconnecting with his roots after he recently started working on a film around Boxing Coach Tobias Mupfuti’s journey of setting up the Victoria Falls Boxing Academy.
Chirisa joins the list of other Zimbabwean actors making waves in the global film industry including Danai Gurira.
