Jordan Zemura In Talks With Udinese

Jordan Zemura In Talks With Udinese

Jordan Zemura has been banished from the Bournemouth first team and will train with the Cherries’ development squad for the rest of the season.

According to the Daily Echo, the decision follows news that the Cherries have received a letter of intent from Serie A club Udinese, stating that the Italian outfit has opened talks with Zemura about a potential move.

Neither Zemura nor his representative had communicated his desire to join Udinese to his current club, Bournemouth.

The 23-year-old Zimbabwean’s contract with the Cherries is set to expire at the end of the current season.

This means that he can hold talks and make agreements with non-English clubs, such as Udinese.

Zemura joined Bournemouth as an academy player in 2019 and was later promoted to the senior team, and his departure would see the club eligible for a compensation fee.

He has not featured in the Cherries’ last five matchday squads, following a “club decision” after the left-back’s refusal to engage in talks over a new deal.

Bournemouth’s latest and final offer was made eight weeks ago, with the proposed deal in excess of £30 000 per week, alongside additional bonuses and achievable salary rises.

However, the offer has not been acknowledged by either Zemura or his representatives.

The club has taken the measure of sending Zemura to train with Alan Connell’s development squad as they look to focus on fighting for Premier League survival without distractions.
