Marshall Munetsi Nominated For The Marc-Vivien Foe Award

Warriors midfielder Marshall Munetsi, who plays for French top-flight club Stade de Reims, has been nominated for the Marc-Vivien Foe Award for the year 2023.

The Marc-Vivien Foe Award is an annual football award presented to the best African footballer playing in the French Ligue 1.

Munetsi (26), has scored 6 goals for the Will Still-coached side this season while playing as a midfielder.

Other nominees for the award are Achraf Hakimi, Chancel Mbemba, Habib Diallo, Hamari Traoré, Mama Baldé, Mohamed Camara, Salis-Abdul Samed, Séko Fofana, Terem Moffi, Yunis Abdelhamid.

The Marc-Vivien Foe Award is named after Cameroonian international midfielder Marc-Vivien Foe, who died on the field during a match between Cameroon and Colombia in the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup.
