CCC Vows To Take Action Against Sengezo Tshabangu

CCC says it is taking action against, Sengezo Tshabangu, a former MDC-T and PDP member who claimed to have recalled several CCC MPs and councillors.

On 03 October 2023, Tshabangu wrote a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda purportedly recalling 15 MPs saying they had ceased to be members of CCC.

He also wrote a letter to the Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Winston Chitando, purporting to recall 17 councillors.

In a statement released on Wednesday, 04 October, CCC deputy spokesperson Gift “Ostallos” Siziba said Tshabangu is an imposter and a ZANU PF proxy. Reads the statement:

It has come to the attention of the Citizens Coalition for Change that there are letters purportedly written by a person designating himself as interim secretary General circulating on social media claiming that the Citizens’ Movement has recalled named councillors and members of Parliament.

Members of the public are advised to disregard these with the contempt they deserve. The CCC party has neither recalled nor does it intend to recall any of its recently elected deployees.

The purported author of the two letters, Sengezo Tshabangu is not and has never been a member or official of the CCC party since its inception. His last known parties are MDC-T and PDP.

He is renowned for being the proxy of fielding fake CCC double candidates in Bulawayo and Matabeleland North.

The Citizens’ Movement is taking action against this impostor and all his contacts.

This deplorable behavior by ZANU PF is a response to their defeat in 2023 and rejection by Zimbabwe and a pathetic attempt to respond to the exercise of our freedom of association in not attending the official opening of parliament yesterday (03 October 2023).

Meanwhile, our deployees in local authorities and Parliament should continue to discharge their responsibilities as mandated by the electorate in the just-ended elections.

There is no problem in acting to these CCC legislators for boycotting. Parliament is more like a company and the legislators are employed and are employees. No need to bunk your duties under the disguise of solidarity with their miserable leader who lost the elections. So far its the legislators who are employed by government and not Chamisa and they should follow the work conditions of parliament as part of their work. #WASTED VOTE for those who voted for CCC. Hamugoni kungo copyer Malema here anopinda mu parliament ochizoita argue arimo kana kuita walk out. Who ever advised you to boycott mislead you.

Why are reporters hiding this person? Can members of the party he claims to be representing be given the opportunity to see his face so they can confirm the position he belongs to in their party. Pictures please

The letter has drawn your attention to the need for established structures, you can ignore that at your own peril. Politics is not a private matter so no need to be in hiding.

Just wondering? How do you take action against someone who is not your member? What disceplinary procedures do you take if there is no constitution? From whence will the power to take action be derived? Which document vests and arrogates that power? If Tshabangu signed CCC official nomination papers, which were duly recognised & accepted by ZEC, then he is a CCC official. Why disown him now? Why was he not disowned then, when he signed for double candidates? Were the the double candidates not CCC supporters who had contested in the CISP but were snubed or rigged - leading to the disgruntlement that caused double candidature for CCC. Since CCC has no members, anyone who associated or affiiated with it can claim to have acted in an official capacity since there are no party officials & no hierarchy. All that's needed is to prove support & participation in official CCC activities. Chamisa painted itself into a corner by refusing to regularise. The same constitution which he still rejects woud have insulated him from such problems. It would be unjust to disown one's associates because of disagreements. Anyway, I foresee the matter spilling into the captured courts. The recalls will be implimented & the court will reserve its judgement after two years of litigation.

Similarly, how does Mudenda act on a letter of request from someone whose party membership cannot be verified;who claims a position that doesn't exist in the party he claims to belong. ZANU claimed Musengezi was not their party member when he tried to challenge Mngwangwa's rise to the Presidency in that evil party.

Nero is taking it from Britain, do you know that Britain does not have the constitution. Inoda kuti dzimwe nyika dzive nayo but She doesn't have 1

@Worzell, taking action isn't limited to disciplinary action. Ever thought of Contumelia?
maparamuro · 1 year ago
@Worzell spread your wisdom, there are lots who need it. With established structures Mudenda and Chitando would know who speaks on behalf of CCC, as it is anyone can do that due to lack of established structures. If someone goes against Nero they are disowned but if they speak in his favour then they are part of the system. Noone can run a political institution as a private organisation. politics is public by nature, can't be in politics and hide from the public, makes no sense unless it's to woodwink gullible. followers
