Zimbabwean Baby Born Weighing Just 405g Overcomes Severe Prematurity

A severely premature baby girl, born weighing just 405g at 28 weeks, has defied the odds to become one of Zimbabwe’s smallest recorded survivors.
As reported by ZBC News, baby Christwish Chingini was born on November 30, 2024, at United Bulawayo Hospitals, facing an incredibly difficult fight for survival.
For the past four months, she has been under intensive, specialised care, with doctors and nurses working tirelessly to support her fragile journey toward health.
Against all expectations, Christwish has shown incredible resilience, steadily gaining weight and strength. Now, at 1.8kg, her progress has been remarkable.
On Friday afternoon, after months of care and dedication, doctors officially discharged Christwish, declaring her healthy and ready to continue her recovery at home.

We thank God for a real miracle! He made the electricity to be available in the midst of a nationwide deficit and gave the nurses and doctors the strength to work with empty stomachs and worry about family and school fees for their children with the very low remuneration. May the Lord bless our medical personnel who look after and preserve what He created by making those He created who are above them understand and respect His assistants, the health workers. Those in charge of the health workers should look after them in such a way that they also partake in the blessings rather than attract His wrath and curses.
