ART Holdings Limited is the holding company of a manufacturing group of businesses in Zimbabwe with distribution operations in Zimbabwe and Zambia. ART Holdings Limited was incorporated as Beachmont Trading Limited in the British Virgin Islands in 1997 and changed its name to ART Holdings Limited in 2001 by way of a special resolution of shareholders. On 30 September 2001, ART Holdings Limited acquired TZI’s interests in its wholly owned subsidiaries Art Investments (Mauritius) Limited and Chloride Central Africa.

National Waste Collections

National Waste Collections (NWC) is a paper recovery concern owned by ART Corporation. The company was established to ensure that local paper mills get their waste paper requirements locally. With over 20 years of experience in waste paper recovery, the company has been a vital link in the sustainability of waste paper manufacturing industries.

The types of waste paper collected include newsprint, Kraft (KHAKHI Boxes), old stationery, archive records, computer paper and chipboard. Waste paper is sourced and collected from different sectors in the country like municipal dumpsites, vendors, printing companies, manufacturing companies, government departments, service industry like banks and residential areas

The division has a staff compliment of over 70 nationally and are represented in all major centres through depots. These are, Gweru, Masvingo, Kwekwe, Chinhoyi, Kadoma and Mutare. Outside of that the division has got agents in all other centres across the country that ensures that all waste paper is recovered for NWC. Indirectly, the system employs over 400 agents and vendors. Routine outreach visits are also made to the satellite towns of Norton, Ruwa and Marondera

Softex

Softex Tissue Products specializes in the provision of hygiene solutions that improve the quality of people’s lives. The company which is jointly owned by Art Corporation and Hunyani Holdings manufactures high-quality tissue products and distributes a wide range of hygiene care products for the industrial and consumer markets in Zimbabwe.

It commenced operations in 1983 specializing in tissue converting. The company has since diversified into feminine and baby care products as well as washroom hygiene products. Tissue and Femcare products are mainly for household use while Hygiene products are mainly industrial.

Softex specialises in 3 major product categories comprising of Tissue, Feminine & Baby Care and Washroom Hygiene.

Kadoma paper Mills

Kadoma Paper Mills (KPM) is the sole producer of tissue and Kraft products in Zimbabwe and is located in Kadoma, 141km outside Harare. KPM has a permanent staff complement of 70 employees. Our Mill uses 100% recycled waste paper. The waste paper is sorted, graded and then pulped to manufacture different grades of paper. We manufacture recycled Enhanced White tissue, Hand Toweling tissue (Wet Strength), Tinted tissue and Kraft paper

Kadoma Paper Mills owns Zimbabwe’s only tissue paper manufacturing plant. The mill uses 100% recycled waste paper, to manufacture all grades of tissue. The product is supplied as single or double ply.

Chloride Zambia

Chloride is the largest distributor of automotive batteries in Zambia, with its flagship brand being the “Exide” brand. Chloride Zambia has a network of 12 own branches throughout Zambia and authorized distributors Countrywide covering all provincial Centres.

The company was first registered in Zambia in 1963 and is currently a leading supplier of automotive batteries in Zambia. The Chloride Zambia management team has a combined experience of 92 years.

In July 2006, Chloride Zambia started selling solar products. Chloride Zambia distributes a large variety of solar related products. Besides several different types and sizes of solar panels, Chloride Zambia imports and distributes Charge Controllers, Inverters, Lights and Solar Batteries. Distribution is done to both dealers and end-users.

  • Power Back Up System

Power Back up System are specifically designed for domestic and commercial application to provide standby power in the event of mains power supply failure. They have many advantages including:-

  1. Instantaneous and automatic change over when mains power fails which is especially beneficial when used with electronic equipment such as Computers, Servers and Fax Machines.
  2. Totally silent and non-polluting operations which particularly suits enclosed space applications.
  3. Very low running costs – just power to charge the batteries.

During normal power conditions the Inverter maintains the batteries at full charge while during power failure, the DC battery energy is seamlessly converted to AC power and fed to the supply circuits. Backup system includes two principal components, an inverter with built-in battery charger and a battery bank.

Chloride Zimbabwe

Chloride Zimbabwe, a wholly owned subsidiary of ART Corporation, specializes in renewable energy solutions, solar distribution and installation. Chloride Zimbabwe recycles used batteries, these batteries are collected through distributors.

Exide

Exide Express is a wholly owned division of ART Corporation. It is the retail and distribution arm of Chloride Zimbabwe, manufacturers of EXIDE batteries. The company has been in the business of supplying and servicing batteries for more than twenty years, commanding a market share of more than 56%.

Exide Express specialises in the supply and distribution of Automotive ‘batteries. The batteries carry a 12 months warranty. The company’s flagship brand is Exide. The company also distributes associated vehicle accessories such as:

EVERSHARP, a division of ART CORPORATION LIMTED, began its operations in 1972.
