Duncan Woods is a Zimbabwean-Australian raised musician and songwriter. He rose to fame through his music productions which acclaimed international recognition in countries such as England and Australia.
Background
Duncan, who comes from Chinhoyi in Zimbabwe grew up in Australia where his music career started. He then moved to Denmark where he is currently based.[1]
Education
Duncan attended Wadalba Community School in 2007 in South Wales, Australia. He attended the University of Newcastle in the same country where he graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy.[2]
Music career
At 16 Duncan started teaching himself guitar and began writing and recording songs in a friend's basement.[1] He eventually started writing music at the age of 19 whilst still in University. It was during a holiday break in London when he was spotted by a music producer. His inspiration for writing and performing have developed through travel, love and friendship, themes which can be heard in his debut album "Together on the Road" released late 2011.[1]
Duncan's music is influenced by many Australian and International artists; some of which include Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, John Butler Trio, The Cat Empire, Bob Marley, Cat Stevens.[1]

Profession as a Physiotherapist
Duncan is also a qualified physiotherapist. As a physiotherapist working for HealthStrong he had the privilege of having enough to continue to utilise his p[rofessional skills while following my passions in music. He thus prefers to call himself a musiotherapist due to his passion for his music career and his profession as physiotherapist.[3]
