Eve Kawadza is a Zimbabwean musician and the lead vocalist for the band, Blaqberry Music which blends pop and jazz.
Background
She was born and bred in Mbare in a family of five girls.[1]
Education
She graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a Bachelor of Arts degree.[2]
Career
Kawadza began her music career at Children’s Performing Arts Workshop (Chipawo) and also took part in UMOJA and Open Mic at the Book Café and began to perform professionally at live shows in 2011. It was veteran musician/producer Filbert Marova who realised her potential when Kawadza used to be a regular at platforms such as Sistaz Open Mic and Bocapa nights at the Book Cafe.[2]
Apart from music, she has a designer label called EK which specialises in a range of household products. Kawadza’s range of products includes cooler bags, car bins, sling bags and other merchandise featuring black, white and red as the signature colours. She is also a music teacher at the French School.[1]
