Gabriel Togarepi is a Zimbabwean Politician and son of Zanu-PF Youth League Secretary Pupurai Togarepi. Gabriel Togarepi is Zimbabwe War Collaborators’ Trust Secretary-General.[1]

Background

He was born to a Zanu-PF member in Masvingo. Gabriel Togarepi was named after former President Robert Gabriel Mugabe as he was born on the 21st of February 2018 .[2]

Gabriel Togarepi attended Ruya Adventist High School, Ellis Robins Boys High School, Mutendi High School Studied Financial management at Midlands State University

Expulsion From Zanu-PF

Gabriel Togarepi was expelled from the Zanu-PF political party in March 2016. This followed after he had attended a meeting which planned to insult former first Lady Grace Mugabe. Gabriel apologized to the then President Robert Mugabe and the Zanu PF leadership and his father for allegedly bringing the name of the family into disrepute.

“I also want to apologise to my father, I got into politics following him, not to put the family’s name into disrepute, but to contribute to the revolution in my own way,” [1]
