September 2016 Car Accident

On September 3, 2016, she was injured in a car crash that killed her friend, Belinda Mutinhiri, who was the daughter of the Minister of State for Mashonaland East Province retired Brigadier-General Ambrose Mutinhiri and former Zanu PF MP Tracy Mutinhiri. Belinda was the one driving. The two were reportedly intoxicated and were coming from a club. Belinda was also reported to have been "several times beyond the drink drive limit & took a huge risk by going behind the wheel."[2]

Belinda's mother reportedly said they failed to locate Glorainne after the accident even though they expected that at some point she would talk to them about Belinda's last moments. Belinda's mother also indicated that she suspected foul play.[3] Belinda's sister, Vimbai Mutinhiri, also expressed anger at Glorainne and at one point accused her of witchcraft that caused Belinda's death.[2]
