Following a conclusion to a very disappointing season which claimed the scalp of former head coach Kevin Kaindu, expectations were rife that the club would make major signings to challenge for honours in the 2015 season.

Incoming and Retaining Players

Ariel Sibanda

The goal minder has been with Bosso for a while and the club looks set to retain his services after the player was spotted attending the club's pre-season training sessions.

Mthulisi Maphosa

After having reported to processing a move away from Bosso due to his alleged wayward behaviour which was said to be bringing the name of the club into disrepute, Maphosa was said to have mended fences with the club which saw him showing up for pre-season training with the Bulawayo-based giants[1]

Joel Ngodzo

Joel Ngodzo's relations with the officials were said to have soured due to the players disciplinary issues but the player was said to have been welcomed back to the club together with Maphosa[1]

Xolani Moyo

Moyo was previously with How Mine where he played as a midfielder during the 2014 season but was reported to have been loaned to Highlanders for the 2015 season[1]

Nqobizitha Masuku

Masuku joined Bosso from Bantu Rovers Football Club and is playing the midfield role.

Felix Chidungwe

Chindungwe is set to remain at Highlanders. The defender has represented the national team on several occasions and seems to have also impressed the Bosso gaffer.

Tendai Ngulube

The player has been a very nomadic player in recent year featuring for clubs such as Monomotapa Football Club. Having featured for Bosso during the 2014 season, he was eventually signed by Bosso for the 2015 season.[2]

Teenage Hadebe

The young warriors defender joined Bosso as part of a loan deal from Bantu Rovers Football Club.[3]

Edmore Muzanenhamo

Muzanenhamo was with How Mine Football Club during the 2014 season but had showed up at the Highlanders pre-season training fuelling speculation that he may be on his way to Babourfields. The player was invited to train with the senior players as opposed to others who had to train with trialists that had showed up to try and impress Mafu.[4]

Bruce Kangwa

Kangwa has been with Highlanders since the 2013 season.[5] The player looks set to be retained by the new coach

Honest Moyo

The player was part of the Bosso set during the 2014 soccer season but his future with the club since the arrival of Mafu remained unclear.

Simbarashe Sithole

Moved to Highlanders through a move from Ajax Cape Town of South Africa.[6]

Simon Munawa

Munawa was at Highlanders last season playing a defensive midfield role

Erick Mudzingwa

The defender has been with the club since the days of Kaindu and seems his services will be retained by the new coach.[7]

Ryan Mabhena

Mabhena is a product of the Highlanders junior policy and rose through the rank until he was promoted to the senior team by former coach Kevin Kaindu.[8] The player looks set to be retained by the club

Douglas Sibanda

The player failed to make the cut at Bosso at the start of the 2014 season which saw him being shipped to Shabanie Mine Football Club where he proved to be a revelation and even got a national team call up. The player was offered a deal at the club which saw him featuring for Bosso in the 2015 season.[9]

King Nadolo

The player was said to be among some of the players set to feature for Bosso this season

Webster Chingodza

The player is a former player of Mwana Africa Football Club. He joined Bosso mid-season in 2014 but did not get enough game time due to injuries.[10]

Lewis Ncube

Lewis Ncube is one of the players that were reportedly fired by Bongani Mafu.[11]

Knox Mutizwa

Rahman Kutsanzira

Kutsanzira featured for Bosso last season and there have been rumours that the player would be retained by the club

Gabriel Nyoni

The player was reported to have extended his tenure at Highlanders by penning a two year deal which will see him at Bosso until 2017.[12]

Obadiah Tarumbwa

Obadiah was signed by Bosso after having spent a while away from the club after his initial stint with the club. He was signed by the club to strengthen their attacking capabilities

Zephania Ngodzo

Ngodzo launched his career at Highlanders but was offloaded by the club after which he had a stint at FC Platinum. The arrival of Bongani Mafu at Bosso saw Ngodzo being roped into the team again at the start of the 2015 season.[13]

Out-going Players

Thomas Chideu

Chideu is an 18 year old sensation signed by Highlanders for three years. The young player is known for his goal scoring prowess and dribbling skills. He also spent three months in the United Kingdon on an exchange programme with Oswestry School where he stole the limelight after scoring 34 goals in fourteen matches.[14] The player was signed by South African club Ajax Cape Town after successful trials in July 2015.

Munyaradzi Diya

The talented goal minder is said to have left Bosso through a move to How Mine Football Club[15]

Liberty Chirava

Chirava was previously with Chicken Inn Football Club. It was still unclear if Bosso would go on to acquire the services of Chirava given that the team had seasoned goalminders such as Ariel Sibanda.[16]

Honest Moyo

The player was part of the Bosso set during the 2014 soccer season but his future with the club since the arrival of Mafu remained unclear.

Dumisani Ndlovu

The player was with Highlanders during the 2014 season but his future with the club was still shrouded in obscurity with regards to the 2015 soccer season

Njabulo Ncube

Njabulo was reported to have been released by the club after several cases of alleged indiscipline, drug and alcohol abuse.[17]

Pascal Manhanga

Manhanga had been with Bosso after having been loaned to the club but was released back to Triangle Football Club at the end of the 2014 season.[18]

Tapiwa Dephistara

The player was released by the Highlanders technical team which saw him completing a move to fellow Premier League side, Chicken Inn Football Club.[19]

Welcome Ndiweni

Ndiweni was once a Bosso player but left and went on to join FC Platinum Football Club. The player then made a comeback to Bosso when he penned a two year deal, it remains to be seen if the players tenure with the club will be extended.[20]

Mgcini Sibanda

Another product of the Bosso junior policy, Sibanda was an irregular starter for Bosso. He was reported to have gone for trials in South Africa at the close of the 2014 season but details about the outcome of the trials and his future with Bosso were patchy.[21]

Ozias Zibande

Zibande broke into the first team in 2012 and has been with the senior team ever since[22]

Godfrey Makaruse

Makaruse is another youthful Highlanders player that looks set to remain with the club given his age

Njabulo Nyoni

The goalkeeper is among the players dismissed by Mafu due alleged cases of indescipline, while club official Gumede highlighted that some players were released because they were not in the plans of the new coach.[11]
