Joe Njagu is a an award winning film and television director ,film-maker and a storyteller.


Joe claimed that he always wanted to tell a story that matters, a story that is relevant to the current society and the film-making industry allowed him to do that effortlessly. He also maintained that he was inspired by a lot of talented individuals, the likes of Ben Mahaka and Tatenda from Studio 263.


Joe has been in the film industry for over 10 years.He has directed movies such as “Escape”, “Sores of Emmanuel”, “Lobola”, “Something Nice from London”, “Wedding Night” and “Salon.Com.

Best Director Foreign Language Film

He won the Best Director Foreign Language Film at the American International Film Festival 2012.
