Kenny Ndlovu was a Zimbabwean liberation war veteran who died in June 2017. He was declared a liberation hero by Bulawayo Province. [1]
Background
Ndlovu was born in Sikhobokhobo, Nkayi in 1944.[1] He did his primary education at Sikhobokhobo Primary School. He then proceeded to do his Standard Six in Bulawayo.[1]
Second Chimurenga
After finishing his Standard Six, Ndlovu joined the youth wing of Zapu.[1] In 1964 he went to Zambia to join the armed struggle and was selected to undergo military training. The training lasted for eight months. [1]
In 1968, he was grouped together with Umkhonto Wesizwe, the military wing of the National Congress (ANC). He later specialised in regular army intelligence security.[1]
After Independence he joined the Zimbabwe National Army. He was demobilised in 1982.
