Kevin Mambo is a Zimbabwean born Canadian based actor, musician and disc jockey who is well known for his leading role in Guiding Light starring as Marcus Williams, which would win him two Daytime Emmy Awards in 1996 and 1997. He also played Fela Kuti in the hit Broadway show "Fela!" in New York City.

Background

Kevin Mambo was born on 29 June 1972 to Anna Tsitsi Mambo (nee Chipwaya) and Nobby Mambo in Harare, Zimbabwe before he would move with his parents to Saskatoon, western Canada. His mother was a registered nurse and mid-wife, while his father was a pathologist. He spent most of his early childhood in Saskatoon, western Canada while he attended university in California, United States of America. His parents would divorce when he was 12 years old and he'd view this as a relief from the arguing.[1]

Mambo started early using various musical instruments that would see him taking up a lifestyle of music.
