Healthy, continental or full English breakfast can be enjoyed each morning in the sunny dining room, or on the verandah overlooking the pool. Light lunches are also available. Evenings can be enjoyed in one of the spacious lounges with a fire place, or our stylish, contemporary bar with a well-stocked fridge that leads onto the verandah. Our chef will gladly prepare dinner at your request. Alternatively, you can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in the near-by vicinity.

The Guesthouse is striving to combine luxurious hospitality and accommodation with an active concern for the environment. Wherever possible, the guesthouse is environment friendly with solar panels for water heating, energy-saving lighting and appliances, grey water reticulation for garden use, and we are completely self-sufficient for the times when we experience power outages.

Accomodation

Kingsmead guesthouse comprises of 10 bedrooms, each with it own en-suite bathroom, of which 8 have king-sized beds (which can be made up into twin beds) and two have queen size beds.

All rooms enjoy the convenience of a silent mini-bar fridge, flat screen LED TV offering a full DSTV bouquet, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryers, international power points, ceiling fans and eco wall heaters. Every room has its own digital-combination safe for your valuables. Each room has a panic button that is connected to a 24 hour rapid response team.

For the optimal sleeping experience we have top quality, extra length beds that are made up with crisp 100% percale linen, seasonal hypo-allergenic duvets, pillows of your choice, as well as electric blankets for the colder months.

Bathrooms are equipped with high pressure showers, heated towel rails, luxury bath sheets and select toiletries. Five of our bathrooms also have free-standing baths.

Two of our rooms boast a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave ovens and fridges to ensure a light self-catering option. There is also the option for families to have inter-leading rooms.

All rooms and inside public areas are non-smoking. You are welcome to smoke on the verandah or in the garden.

All rooms are serviced daily.

Facilities

Office facilities are available for those who need to keep up with their business with free high-speed internet with excellent WiFi coverage throughout the Guesthouse, and access to a telephone, printer and a copier. We also have a collection of books, current magazines and daily newspapers available. This establishment has a private dining room available to those seeking private dining or business meetings. We are able to organise light lunches, teas/coffees, pastries and snacks for such occasions.

The Guest House offers a 5% discount on stays longer than 7 nights and a 10% discount on stays 14 nights or more
