Background
Mureza Auto Company is funded by backers in the UAE and has a joint venture with the Iran-based SAIPA Group for platform-sharing and the supply of components. A group of Africans from various countries are driving the project. [1]
Mureza Auto company decided not to open new-car franchised dealerships and says Mureza models will be sold through used-vehicle outlets supported by online selling. [2]
Operations
Mureza will co-operate with smaller component suppliers who are not yet able to handle big production runs and the business they will be channeling to those companiens will help them grow their businesses. Mureza is looking to create up to 1,000 jobs at the Rosslyn plant with production to grow from 10 to 35 cars a day.
Opening Shop In Zimbabwe
In October 2019, it was reported that Mureza Auto Company was opening shop in Zimbabwe at Willovale Motor Industry. The Company said it will open shop in Harare in 2020. [3]

The Tusker
In September 2019, Mureza announced that it was planning on introducing a half tonne truck and a one tonne truck for the local market. [5] The design for the Tusker is on the Mureza Auto Company's website.
