Background
Pride Tafirenyika was born on 21 January 1984. He started his football career playing for Agatha Sheneti Soccer Academy run by Regis Dzenga.[1]
Career
Pride Tafirenyika played for Agatha Sheneti Soccer Academy where he joined from Lord Malvern High School. From 2004 to 2007 he joined Harare United a feeder Club for the academy and were both owned by Regis Dzenga where he saw his stock rise and found himself being signed by the then ambitious Shooting Stars and he was part of the club from 2008 up to 2009. His performances saw him attract the attention of CAPS United whom he later joined in 2010 up to 2013 but he never got to his anticipated levels and he saw himself out of favour with the coaches then. He was to be lured by his former CAPS United coach Josten Mathuthu to join him at ZPC Kariba in Division 1 then and helped them get promoted into the Zimbabwe Preier Soccer League and was with the club for 2 seasons in the ZPSL from 2014 to 2015. He reckons 2014as his best season when they missed the league title on the final day after losing 3-2 to CAPS United to hand Dynamos the title. In 2016 he had to leave ZPC Kariba and join Chicken Inn but the relationship only lasted for a season and later on rejoined ZPC Kariba in 2018.
National Team Caps
He earned four caps for the national team between 2008 and 2009 and scored 1 goal in the process.
