The Pungwe C Power Station was commissioned in March 2016. It is a 3.75 MW scheme, taking water from a weir on the Chiteme river which is a tributary of the Pungwe river.

Pungwe C takes water from a weir on the Chiteme River. The water is channelled through a 1200mm diameter steel penstock for a distance of 2 750 metres and a vertical drop of 180 metres.
It is a 3.75 MW scheme, designed to generate an average of 9,554 MWh per year.

PGI own several power generation companies, including Pungwe C Power Station (Pvt) Ltd. All plants are managed by Nyangani Renewable Energy (Pvt) Ltd

History

The Power Station was commissioned in March 2016. It has an installed capacity of 3.75MW In 2018, the output was 13 427 MWh
