Physical
The Riverside Solar Power Station occupies a 40 hectare site outside Mutoko, Zimbabwe. The first stage of the development was to install 2.5MW of capacity on one quarter of the available land. This first state was commissioned in January 2018 and will generate 4 700 MWh pa into the grid. The first stage was developed using a variety of technologies. Both mono and poly crystalline panels have been installed on both fixed and tracking frames. When the relative output of each different design is understood, progress to the second stage will be undertaken, doubling its size to 5 MW.
