Sango Wildlife is a lodge situated approximately 440 kilometres south-east of Harare opposite Save Valley Conservancy Zimbabwe can be accessed by air or road. Air and/or road transfers to Sango as well as hotel accommodation can be arranged by upon request.

Travelling by Air

Fly with a commercial airline to Johannesburg, South Africa and charter a private flight to Buffalo Range Airport, Zimbabwe, clear immigration and customs and continue with your charter flight to Sango Airstrip for collection. Approximate journey time from Johannesburg to Sango is 2.5 – 3.5 hours.

Fly with a commercial airline to Robert Gabriel International Airport, Zimbabwe, clear immigration and customs and charter a private flight to Sango Airstrip. Approximate journey time from Harare to Sango is 1 hour.

Fly with a commercial airline to Robert Mugabe International Airport, Zimbabwe, clear immigration and customs and be collected by our airport transfer for the journey by road to Sango. Approximate journey time from Harare to Sango is 4 – 5 hours.

By Road

Drive with your own vehicle using directions from your point of entry into Zimbabwe which the hotel will provide. Please note that the last 50 kilometres are unpaved dirt roads, frequented by game.

Background

In 1993 Wilfried Pabst bought Sango area. They introduced wildlife such as giraffe, kudu . The lodge was opened to guests in 2003.

Sango lodge comprises of four private eco-suites constructed of stone, wood and glass and integrated into their surroundings of baobabs and boulders. They each have a bedroom and en-suite bathroom, lounge and outdoor shower with private patio. The communal facilities include a library and bar area with an open fireplace and swimming pool. The lodge has tent camps with each of the three tents permanently situated and furnished with an ensuite bathroom and a private deck. ^[1]

Nature is at the heart of Sango, which is why we established a wildlife conservation area where we aim to maintain the natural resources of the Save Valley Conservancy, through the application of sound ecological management practices, for use and enjoyment by future generations.
