Terrence Dzvukamanja (born 5 May 1994) is a Zimbabwean footballer who plays as a centre-forward for SuperSport United Football Club in South Africa and the Zimbabwe national football team (Warriors).

Background

Terrence was born on 5 May 1994 and is the younger brother to former Douglas Warriors and Dynamos Football Club striker Admire Dzvukamanja.

Career

Terrence played for Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League team Ngezi Platinum F.C. from 2016 to 2018 when he left for South Africa to sign for Bidvest Wits FC in August 2018.[1]

He was at Bidvest from 2018 to the end of the 2019/2020 season. He was signed by South African football giants Orlando Pirates FC on 22 September 2020 on a three-year contract.[2]

In the 2021/22 season, Dzvukamanja made 25 appearances in the league for Pirates but failed to find the back of the net.

In January 2023, Dzvukamanja's agent Mike Makaab said he was in the process of arranging a January transfer before the window closed.[3]

The move, however, didn’t materialise, and Dzvukamanja ultimately refocused his effort at Pirates and by 12 May 2023, he had featured in as many as 16 games under the leadership of coach Jose Riveiro, scoring six goals during this time to go with one assist.[4]

Dzvukamanja made 76 appearances for Pirates overall, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists.

In his final season with the Buccaneers, the striker netted eight goals in 19 appearances, including the winning goal in the Nedbank Cup final against Sekhukhune United in May 2023.

SuperSport United FC announced on 21 July 2023 that Dzvukamanja had joined the club for an undisclosed transfer fee from Orlando Pirates. The club also did not disclose the length of the Zimbabwe international's contract.[5]

Awards and Nominations

He was nominated for the 2020 Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award together with Motjeka Madisha of Mamelodi Sundowns and Victor Letsoalo of Bloemfontein Celtic.[6]
