The Natives Pass Ordinance (1902)

The Natives Pass Ordinance (1902) was a draconian colonial law which was put in place to control the movement of Africans it worked hand in glove with The Masters and Servants Act (1901). Under this ordinance, Africans were not allowed to move or migrate from one location to the other, especially moving across provinces without a pass.
