Background
The Victoria Falls Airport is situated 21 kilometers out of the town in a forest area and was constructed in 1966 as a regional airport. It provides direct access to the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World and Heritage Site Mosi-oa-Tunya on the Zambezi River, also known as the Magnificent Victoria Falls. The runway is 4000 meters long and 60 meters wide. The Airport occupies an area of approximately 1800 hectors. [1]
