The article below, seeks to show the pass rates of the various levels of examinations that are taken in Zimbabwe. Despite the leaking of exam papers that have taken place, Zimsec still claims that it is credible and should be relied on by parents, educational institutions and employers.[1]

Grade 7 Pass Rates

  • 2005: 65.42%
  • 2006: 68.03%
  • 2007: 70.45%
  • 2008: 51:50%
  • 2009: 39:30%[1]
  • 2011: 28.89%
  • 2012: 31.5%

Ordinary Level Pass Rates

  • 2013: 20.72%
  • 2012: 18.4%[2]
  • 2011: 19.50%
  • 2010: 16.5%
  • 2009: 19.33%
  • 2008: 14.44%
  • 2007: 14.32%
  • 2006: 20.16%[1]
  • 2000: 13.88%

Advanced Level Pass Rates

  • 2013: 81.6%
