Zimbabwe Cricket (formerly Zimbabwe Cricket Union) is the cricket administration body in Zimbabwe. The body runs the Zimbabwe national cricket team and organises test tours as well as facilitating domestic cricket development.
Former Name
ZC was formerly known as Zimbabwe Cricket Union, a name that was changed in 2004. The name was announced by the then chairman, Peter Chingoka.

Domestic Competitions
The Logan Cup is the premier domestic first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe. It has been contested on a provincial basis since the 1903–04 season, when the country was still called Rhodesia, but has only attained first-class status since Zimbabwe became a full member of the ICC in 1992. The current champions are the Mountaineers.

Significant Events
- In 2003, during a world cup match in Zimbabwe, national team members Henry Olonga and Andy Flower demonstrated against what they considered "the death of democracy" in Zimbabwe.[1]. Both retired after the event, with Olonga moving to the United Kingdom.
- In July 2014, Peter Chingoka resigned from the position of chairman after having been at the helm of the organisation since 1990.
Launch of new National Premier League
Zimbabwe Cricket have launched the new National Premier League which got underway on Sunday 4 October 2020 with nine teams drawn from across the country. The competition, which is wholly sponsored by Zimbabwe Cricket, was launched by ZC chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani in Harare on the afternoon of Wednesday 30 September 2020.
The competing teams will include Amakhosi (Bulawayo), Great Zimbabwe Patriots (Masvingo), Harare Kings (Harare), Easterns (Mutare), Takashinga (Harare), Queens (Bulawayo), Rainbow (Harare), Gladiators (Harare) and MidWest Rhinos (Kwekwe). The league programme will run until November and the top team at the end of the marathon wins the NPL title and US$10 000 prize money. The previous national league was stopped two years ago due to financial constraints.[2] The tournament will be played on a 45-over basis.

Sealing of kit deal with Ihsan International
Zimbabwe Cricket clinched a kit deal on 15 October 2020 with Ihsan International for the upcoming limited-overs series in Pakistan. The sponsorship package, worth US$30 000, will see the Pakistan-based sports goods manufacturer supplying playing, training and travel wear to Zimbabwe’s touring players and members of the support staff.
“I am delighted to unveil the US$30 000 kit sponsorship for the Zimbabwe national cricket team,” Ihsan International director Majid Khan said.
“The kit sponsorship is for the 32 members of the Zimbabwe national cricket team for use during the upcoming tour to Pakistan which starts from the 20th of October 2020.”
The new playing shirt was presented to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Deputies, as well as to several ministers, during a ceremony held at State House in Harare on Tuesday 13 October 2020. The Pakistan tour kit deal is over and above the US$70 000 sponsorship contract that ZC and Ihsan International had already sealed for the supply of kit to four women’s provincial teams and two men’s regional select sides.[3]
