Job Description
Childline Zimbabwe is a Private Voluntary Organisation which is registered under the laws of Zimbabwe, specialising in child protection, championing, guarding and protecting their rights through the provision of safe, confidential and child friendly reporting mechanisms centred around a free 24-hour counselling services. It seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Driver.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles for authorized trips and assignments following laid down procedures, policies and observing traffic laws.
- Keeping up-dated log sheets.
- Ensure the safety of the vehicle while on duty.
- Report vehicle defects and technical mechanical faults.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and advising when service is due.
- Maintenance of vehicles in line with Childline Policies and Procedures.
- Cleaning of vehicles regularly.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 “O” levels.
- Clean Class 2 or 4 Driver’s License.
- At least 5 years of continuous driving experience.
- Defensive Driving Certificate.
- NGO driving experience is an added advantage.
- Must be readily available,
- Sober habit,
- Punctual and trustworthy person.
- Knowledge of mechanical and vehicle maintenance is an added advantage.
