Job Description
Mutasa Rural District Council is inviting University Graduates for a two (2) year post Graduate Traineeship in the Finance Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Taking proactive role in managing and collecting debts from Council debtors.
- Production of Debtors Follow up Schedules statements for debtors.
- Negotiating terms and payment plans.
- Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
- Liaising with customers, and responding to client inquiries on debtors
- Managing the debtor's ledger.
- Preparation and delivery of letters of demand and summons.
- Following up of debtor's physical, telephonically, through emails, sms, etc.
- Receipting of income revenue.
- Cash book updating, Bank reconciliation and preparation of weekly and monthly management reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5'0' Level including Mathematics and English.
- Degree in Accounting (Class 2.1 or better) is a must.
- Should have completed the degree at least two (2) or less years ago.
- Proficiency in Sage Pastel and LADS and Microsoft Excel an added advantage.
- Work experience in a local authority environment is an added advantage.
- A clean Class 4 or 3 driver's licence is an added advantage.
- No criminal record.
- At least 25 years and below.
