Meter Data Management System (MDMS) Implementation Support Manager

Job Description

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) is a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings whose mandate is Transmission, Distribution and Retail of electricity. The company is looking for a suitably qualified and experience person on FIXED TERM CONTRACT. This is a senior management position that reports to Project Manager ( Smart Metering) in the Commercial Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

The MDMS Implementation Support Manager will be responsible for: 

• Reviewing MDMS Project Manual.
• Supporting implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) strategy.
• Guiding implementation of the MDMS contract by providing project supervision, monitoring and reporting.
• Guiding the Company in cooperation with external IT Consultants on MDMS and related projects.
• Transfering knowledge on managing mission critical IT projects to Project Teams.
• Assisting in coming up with a robust post MDMS implementation support model backed by internal skills. 

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevantTechnical Degree or equivalent.
• Full Membership of a recognized professional institution.
• A post Graduate qualification such as MBL/MBA or equivalent.
• Traceable experience in managing projects of a similar nature, regionally and internationally.
• Knowledge and experience of integrating systems.
• Traceable execution of projects on Business Performance Enhancements, Customer Engagements and Technological Advancements.
• Data Analytics Skills.
• Ten (10) years experience in Business Management Consulting.
