A 49-year-old security guard from Hwange is accused of sodomising a boy and two other men on separate occasions after offering them temporary accommodation at his workplace.
The suspect has been charged with four counts of aggravated indecent assault. To protect the victims’ identities, the accused’s name has not been disclosed.
He appeared before a magistrate in Hwange and has been remanded in custody until October 25.
One of the victims, a 17-year-old who accepted the accused’s offer for shelter, recounted a traumatic experience of being subjected to non-consensual anal intercourse while asleep in the guard’s bedroom.
In a statement, the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) indicated that the accused provided the victim with accommodation at his home, only to commit a grievous act the following night.
Despite efforts to protect himself by wearing tight-fitting clothing, the accused allegedly struck again, leaving the victim traumatised and fearful for his safety.
Sadly, this pattern of abuse continued, as two more male colleagues, aged 19 and 18, became victims of the accused’s depraved actions on separate occasions in August 2024. Said the NPA:

A 49-year-old man from Hwange who is employed as a security guard was arraigned before the Hwange Magistrates’ Court facing four counts of aggravated indecent assault.
On the 10th of August 2024, the accused person offered accommodation to the complainant (17) who had secured a job at his place of work. The accused person offered him accommodation at his house. 
Allegations are that, on the following night, the accused person and the complainant were asleep in the accused person’s bedroom, when the accused person had anal sexual intercourse with the complainant, without his consent.
The complainant confided in his friend and workmate who advised him to sleep wearing tight-fitting clothes to deter the accused person.
The accused person however had sexual intercourse with the complainant once more on the night of the 13th of August.
It is further alleged that the accused person also indecently assaulted two more male colleagues (19 and 18) using the same modus on the 15th of August and on the 25th of August, respectively.

The accused remains in custody while awaiting further legal proceedings, with a remand date set for October 25.

A security guard in Hwange has been accused of sexually assaulting three men, including one boy. The guard offered them accommodation at his workplace and then committed the assault. Security Guard Sodomises Three Men At His Workplace

A 30-year-old woman from Zengeza 2, Chitungwiza, has been accused of sexually assaulting her 14-year-old sister since 2022 and recording videos of the abusive acts.
According to <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/sister-sexually-assaults-sibling-records/">The Herald</a>, the accused, whose identity has been withheld to protect the younger sibling, appeared before Chitungwiza regional magistrate Gloria Takundwa last Thursday.
She was charged with aggravated indecent assault and has been remanded in custody until July 24th.
Prosecuting the case, Pamela Dzinduwa told the court that the alleged incidents began in September 2022, when the elder sister instructed the 14-year-old to undress and then sexually assaulted her using a banana, recording the act on video.
The court further heard that similar assaults occurred on multiple occasions, with the elder sister employing various objects, including a cucumber, and later using her fingers while making video calls to a man.
In one instance in June 2024, the older sister allegedly gave the child hair remover and then sexually assaulted her again.
The disturbing pattern of abuse came to light when the 14-year-old victim confided in her teachers at school, first informing her Shona teacher, then her Fashion and Fabrics teacher, and finally her Guidance and Counselling teacher, who reported the matter to the Department of Social Welfare.
A police investigation was subsequently launched, leading to the arrest of the older sister.

A 30-year-old woman from Chitungwiza is accused of hurting her 14-year-old sister since 2022. She made videos of the assaults. The woman has been charged and will be in custody until July 24th. The abuse started in 2022 with the elder sister using different objects to assault her sister. The younger sister told her teachers, who reported it to social services. The police arrested the older sister. It is important to tell someone if someone is hurting you.

Chitungwiza Woman (30) Sexually Abuses Younger Sister (14)

An 18-year-old woman from Mupfuuri Village, Hwedza, in Mashonaland East Province, who was brutally attacked and stripped naked by five assailants on July 4, 2024, has been offered free medical treatment by Dr Michael Mandaza of Pacific 24Hour Hospital in Mabvuku, Harare, reported <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/ray-of-hope-for-vicious-attack-victim-battered-woman-gets-free-nurse-aid-training-programme/">H-Metro</a>.
In the wake of this traumatic incident, the hospital has also extended an opportunity for Mada to undergo a three-month nursing aide training program, with the costs fully covered.
The hospital’s commitment to Mada’s well-being extends beyond just her physical recovery; they will also provide support for her mental and emotional healing as she grapples with the aftermath of the aggravated indecent assault. Said Dr Mandaza:

This course has both theory and practical attachment for three months.

According to H-Metro, Mada failed her Ordinary Level examinations two years ago and has been living with her grandmother, as her mother works as a housemaid in Harare.
Mada’s father passed away some time ago, leaving the family in a very difficult financial situation.
The assault on Mada was particularly brutal, as the five assailants reportedly abused her for four hours.
They even inserted three sticks into her private parts, causing her to bleed continuously since the attack, as revealed by her mother.
Examinations conducted so far have indicated that Mada has sustained numerous bruises and scars all over her body as a result of the savage assault. She is still in severe pain and is walking with a noticeable limp.
Further medical checks, including X-rays of Mada’s chest, legs, and pelvis, did not reveal any fractures.
Her assailants were identified by the police as Vimbai Mike (19), Rudo Manjere (17), Lilly Rose Munyoro (16), Lillian Chido Munyoro (17), and Sandra Vhumbunu.
The attackers filmed the vicious assault, and they were subsequently arrested after the disturbing video footage went viral.
The motive behind the attack has not been confirmed but reports suggest that Mada was allegedly accused of spreading rumours about two of the assailants who are married women.
This accusation then prompted the assailants to team up with the other three perpetrators to carry out the horrific torture and assault against Mada.

An 18-year-old girl was attacked and stripped by five people. A hospital in Harare offers her free medical treatment and nurse training. The hospital will cover all costs for the training. The girl had been living with her grandmother as her mom works as a maid. Her father passed away, leaving them in a tough situation. The attackers abused her for four hours and used sticks on her. They filmed the attack, which went viral. The motive for the attack is not confirmed, but it may be about rumors. The attackers have been arrested.

Viral Video Victim Receives Free Medical Treatment And Nursing Aide Training

A 35-year-old Victoria Falls woman was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment following her conviction on two counts of aggravated indecent assault by a Hwange Magistrate.
Indecent assault refers to any unwanted sexual contact or behaviour that violates a person’s bodily integrity without their consent.
Aggravated indecent assault is a more severe form of indecent assault and occurs when the assault involves specific aggravating factors such as penetration of any part of the victim’s body.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) outlined the brief facts of the matter as follows:

The State proved that sometime in January 2023 the accused person coerced her 28-year-old neighbour into having sexual relations with her without his consent at her field.
The accused person also engaged in sexual activities with the complainant sometime during the period extending from 1 February 2023 to 9 June 2023 without his consent.
The matter came to light when the complainant confided in his brother on the 10th of June 2023 leading to the accused person’s arrest.
</blockquote>
The woman was not charged with rape because that particular crime involves the penetration of a woman by a man.
The equivalent crime where a woman forces a man to have sexual intercourse with her is aggravated indecent assault, which carries the same penalty as rape.
The Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act [Chapter 9:23] defines aggravated indecent assault in Section 66 (1) (b). It says:
<blockquote>
Any person who… being a female person… has (i) sexual intercourse with or commits upon a male person any other act involving the penetration of any part of the male person’s body or of her own 
body; or
(ii) commits upon a female person any act involving the penetration of any part of the other female person’s body or of her own body;
with indecent intent and knowing that the other person has not consented to it or realising that there is a real risk or possibility that the other person may not have consented to it, shall be guilty of aggravated indecent assault and liable to the same penalty as is provided for rape.

Victoria Falls Woman (35) Jailed 15 Years For Forcing Man (28) To Have Sex With Her

A 27-year-old man from Marimbi Village, Seke District, Mashonaland East Province, has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for inserting his tongue into his 2-year-old niece’s privates.
The man whose identity is being concealed to protect the victim pleaded guilty to an aggravated indecent assault charge.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the man was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment, 3 of which were suspended on condition of good behaviour. The NPA said:

Brief facts are that on the 7th of January 2024, the complainant’s father caught the accused person red-handed inserting his tongue into the complainant’s private part.
The accused person is the brother of the complainant’s father. He had visited his brother’s residence.
The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment, 3 of which were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
Don’t trust even relatives with your children.
</blockquote>
Early this year, President Mnangagwa used his powers under the Presidential Powers (Temporary Measures) Act to gazette as the Statutory Instrument 2 of 2024 the Presidential Powers (Temporary Measures) (Criminal Laws (Protection of Children and Young Persons)) Regulations, 2024.
Under the regulations, even asking a person under 18 to take part in sexual or indecent acts is an offence.

Man (27) Jailed 18 Years For Molesting His 2-year-old Niece

A 19-year-old woman from Chimanimani recently appeared before a magistrate for allegedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy.
The woman, who is from Masiyandaka Village under Chief Saurombe appeared before Chipinge regional magistrate, Noel Mupeiwa.
She was facing aggravated indecent assault charges as defined in Section 66 (1) (b) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.
The suspect, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge, arguing that the boy’s mother was framing her since they are not in good books.
The State called in four witnesses to testify.
Prosecuting, Themba Dhliwayo said that on 7 March 2023, at around 1 PM, the complainant was sent to the accused person’s homestead by his mother (name withheld to protect the identity of the minor) to get some vegetables.
Upon arrival at the accused’s homestead, the complainant was allegedly asked to bring the accused’s baby to the bedroom and he obliged. Said Dhliwayo:

When the boy entered the bedroom, he discovered that Manyezu was naked and stepped back. However, the boy was ordered to put the baby down.
The accused person then held the boy by his hand. She asked him if he had ever had sexual intercourse with a woman.
She allegedly undressed the boy and proceeded to have sex with him once without his consent.
After the act, [the accused] allegedly released the boy and told him not to disclose what had happened to anyone.
</blockquote>
The matter only came to light on 17 March when the complainant told his mother.
The complainant’s mother lodged a complaint to the police on 14 April.
The boy was medically examined at Chimanimani Hospital.
The magistrate was expected to pass his judgement on Thursday last week.
Aggravated indecent assault is a serious criminal offence that carries severe penalties upon conviction.
In Zimbabwe, aggravated indecent assault is defined as any non-consensual sexual contact or behavior that results in serious bodily harm or injury to the victim.
