Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals for Al-Nassr when they played Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday night and has reached a new milestone.  
The veteran striker, 38, only managed one goal (penalty) in his first three competitive appearances for the club he joined at the end of December. But found his form against Al-Wehda, scoring in the 21st, 40th, 53rd and 61st minutes to reach and then surpass 500 career league goals.
The Portugal captain’s first goal was a powerful, left-footed finish across the goalkeeper after he was played in down the channel. 
Ronaldo showed his poacher’s instincts to score his second, too, as he raced in behind to latch onto a through-ball and finish under Abdulquddus Atiah.
His third came early in the second half when he scored from the penalty spot, and a fourth was added just after the hour mark to reach 503 league goals after the goalkeeper could only paw his tame shot back into his path to slide the ball into the empty net.
Ronaldo’s goals set Al-Nassr on a path to a much-needed victory as they push for another league title. The Middle Eastern giants have endured a patch of mixed form since signing the superstar on a contract worth £173 million per year.
They drew two of their last three league games ahead of the fixture against Al-Wehda and were knocked out of the Saudi Super Cup by Al-Ittihad, depriving Ronaldo of a shot at an early piece of silverware. 
These results invited Al-Shabab back into the title race, but Ronaldo’s goals on Thursday night saw Al-Nassr leapfrog their rivals, over whom they also have a game in hand.

Cristiano Junior, the son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to join the Mahd Academy in Saudi Arabia.
WHAT HAPPENED? After leaving Manchester United by mutual consent in November, the elder Ronaldo recently signed for Saudi side Al-Nassr in a deal reportedly worth $75m (£61.1m) per year. His 12-year-old son has left United too and will now play at the academy level in the Middle Eastern country.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Ronaldo Jr spent two years in Juventus’ academy system while his father was playing in Italy, and most recently wore the No. 7 shirt as a prospect with Man United. He also featured in the Real Madrid youth team.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR RONALDO? While it remains unclear as to when exactly Ronaldo Jr will start playing for his new side, his father could be in action when the Saudi All-Star team take on Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly on January 19.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr Set To Join Saudi Arabia Academy

Reports suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo could play in the Uefa Champions League (UCL) next season.
It is alleged that there is a clause in his contract with <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/cristiano-ronaldo-finds-new-club-after-leaving-manchester-united/">his newly-found club, Al Nassr,</a> which allows him to sign for Newcastle United on loan if the English club qualifies for the UCL.
Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian club, and Newcastle have the same owner, the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
Ronaldo had his Manchester United <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/cristiano-ronaldo-is-leaving-manchester-united-with-immediate-effect/">contract terminated</a> during the 2022 Qatar World Cup after he did an interview with Piers Morgan in which he said that he does not respect United coach Erik ten Hag.
There had already been friction between him and the club and the interview was the final straw. United are now looking for another forward to replace him.
He reportedly tried in vain to rejoin Real Madrid or find any club in the Champions League.
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to defend his Champions League records including the all-time leading scorer in this continental tournament with 140 goals scored.
The only one capable of catching him any time soon is Lionel Messi who has 129 which means he is only 11 behind the Portuguese and 12 away from surpassing him.
The records matter especially considering that they are used to determine the greatest footballer of all time.
