Zimbabwean preacher, Talent Chiwenga has said Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa, does not deserve to be in a leadership position.
He said Chamisa is cowardly and not ready to seriously challenge the ruling ZANU PF. Chiwenga a, ZANU PF critic, said it would have been better if Job Sikhala was the leader of the opposition since he is ready to fight “to the drop of his blood” for what he believes.
Chiwenga said if Chamisa was the one in prison, the party would have done a lot to get him out, something that would trigger a revolution. Watch the video below by Kukurigo:

Outspoken preacher Apostle Talent Chiwenga has said contemporary local musician, Mukudzei Mukombe popularly known as Jah Prayzah (JP) should not have gospel songs.
Chiwenga accuses JP of misrepresenting Biblical facts. He was commenting on JP’s recent song ‘<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDmZbubJ9rY">Eriya’</a> off the latest album ‘Hokoyo’
Some of the song’s lyrics:

Chiwenga said the Biblical Elijah, who is being referred to as Eriya in the song, never ascended to heaven in a chariot of fire as claimed by Jah Prayzah neither is there an indication in the Bible that he will come back with the chariot to pick up Jah Prayzah.

Pastor Shingi Munyeza who of late has been a critic of the President Emmerson Mnangagwa led government has been accused of abusing the pulpit to champion some political agendas.
Munyeza a member of the Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC) advising president Mnangagwa has been calling for an end of the ZANU PF’s rule saying the party has failed to govern thereby causing untold suffering to the citizenry.
His remarks come when the country is submerged under acute economic and humanitarian as well as political crises manifest in the soaring inflation, shortages of fuel, food, medicines and a deteriorating democratic space.
Responding to Munyeza’s utterances, the Permanent  Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Managwana said:
<blockquote>(Mr) Munyeza should not hide behind the Bible when giving political rants. We want to respect men of God, but we are not going to treat religious charlatans, who are not courageous enough to come into the political arena like the rest but hide behind the Holy Book and start issuing political edicts disguised as sermons, with kid gloves.</blockquote>
Other clergymen to have publicly criticised the government include the outspoken Apostle Talent Chiwenga who has openly demanded that Mnangagwa relinquishes power.

Munyeza Accused Of Abusing The Pulpit To Push "A Nefarious Political Agenda"

Stanford Biti has said that the opposition innZimbabwe, particularly the MDC led by Nelson Chamisa was neglecting its duties as an opposition in the country.
Biti said that the party should be proactive rather than reactive. Posting on Twitter, Biti said:

These remarks are said when the clergyman, <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/03/07/watch-apostle-chiwenga-mocks-govt-over-uniformed-forces-tuckshops/">Apostle Chiwenga has mocked the government over its plan to revive garrison shops </a>which are meant to cushion members of the security sector from the hyperinflationary economy.
The preacher alleges that the planned shops are meant to pacify security forces so that they would not resist orders to beat people during protests.
This is happening when Zimbabwe has plunged into an economic and humanitarian crisis that has resulted in workers threatening to revolt against the government over the crisis.

An Instagram post by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Byuc3xeAD_4/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Zimcelebs</a> has suggested that there was a bogus initiative on Go Fund Me that was purported to be raising money for the hospital-bound Apostle Chiwenga. The preacher got into an accident recently along Masvingo – Harare highway on his way from South Africa.
Three passengers including his wife perished in that accident which he claims was an assassination attempt at his life.
This publication however checked and could not locate the initiative on Go Fund Me. Perhaps, the project has since been removed following a purported fraud alert by Chiwenga’s church.
