The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has cancelled all weekend matches that were scheduled for this weekend due to the current political disturbances.
In a statement issued on Facebook, PSL said the rescheduled dates will be announced in due course. Said PSL:
<blockquote>The Premier Soccer League in consultation with its key Stakeholders has postponed the Castle Lager PSL Matchday 21 fixtures scheduled for the weekend of 4 to 5 August 2018. 
We will advise on the rescheduled dates in due course.</blockquote>

PSL Weekend Matches Cancelled Due To Political Disturbances

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Weekend Results

The FC Platinum and ZPC Kariba Premier Soccer League match was not played after the Kariba based side failed to turn up for the match.
Contacted for comment on the unfulfilled fixture, PSL chief executive officer Kenny Ndebele refused to comment referring all questions to ZPC Kariba who were also unreachable. Below are the results of PSL matches played today:

PSL Results: Dynamos Lose, ZPC Kariba In No Show

In a shock move the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has rejected all bids for radio and television broadcast rights for the Castle Premier Soccer League season, which starts tomorrow. 
The PSL said the bids lacked paperwork and did not meet expectations. The process may well be re-opened soon, but for now, no PSL action will be broadcast on radio and on TV.

The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has announced that the 2018 season will kickoff on 10 March. They also announced that 18 teams will participate in the 2018 season.
Clubs are urged to register players by 23 February while the transfer window closes on 31 March. Read the full press statement below:

The 2018 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season is expected to commence on Saturday 10 March 2018. The fixtures for the season will be released in due course

A total of 18 clubs will participate in the 2018 Premier League season. We welcome the newly promoted Bulawayo Chiefs FC, Herentals FC, Mutare City Rovers FC and Nichrut FC to the Premier Soccer League.
The Annual General Meeting is set for Friday 4 March 2018. Some of the key issues to be discussed at the AGM include club licensing, club structures, crowd management and competitions.
Further, clubs are required to register their players by Friday 23 February 2018. This will enable the verification of players’ information and processing of licenses. The First Player Transfer window closes on 31 March 2018. Clubs can still alter their squads until the player transfer window closes.</blockquote>

PSL Announces 2018 Season Kickoff Date

An  Ad hoc Committee which was set-up by the Premier Soccer League to look at the abandoned Chibuku Super Cup first round game between Chicken Inn and Yadah has made the decision to award the match to Yadah. The Committee has also fined Chicken Inn $2 000 and banned the club from the 2018 edition of the tournament.
Chicken Inn refused to play the remaining minutes in protest after the referee awarded a penalty to Yadah in the 89th minute. They said the referee’s decision was not fair and it should not stand.
The statement reads:
<blockquote>The Premier Soccer League Ad hoc Committee has awarded the Chibuku Super Cup first round match between Yadah FC and Chicken Inn FC to Yadah FC on a 3-0 scoreline.
Further, Chicken Inn FC has been fined $2000 (Two thousand dollars) and banned from participating in the 2018 edition of the Chibuku Super Cup.</blockquote>

<blockquote>This is in accordance with Article 7 of the Chibuku Super Cup Rules and Regulations which state that:
7.6 If a team does not report for a match except in cases of force majeure recognized by the Premier Soccer League or if it refuses to continue to play or leaves the stadium before the end of the match, the team will be considered as having lost the match in question. The match will be awarded to its opponents on a score line of 3-0 or more if in the case of an abandoned match, the winning team has already reached a higher score at the time the guilty team leaves the field of play.
7.7 The defaulting team shall be banned from participating in the next edition of the Chibuku Super Cup.
7.8 No appeals maybe lodged against these decisions.</blockquote>

Chicken Inn banned from Chibuku Super Cup 2018, fined $2 000

Dynamos secured top spot on the Castle Premier Soccer League table after beating Harare City Football Club 2-1 in a match played at the National Sports Stadium.
Peace Makaha scored the opener in the first half before the tally was doubled in the second half  when Raymond Uchena scored an own goal. Martin Vengesai pulled back one but it was too late as his goal was just a consolation in added time. The win sent Dynamos three points clear on top with 56 points.
Highlanders did a favour for Dembare when they beat title chasers Chicken Inn 4-0 with goals coming from Godfrey Makaruse, Ralph Matema and a brace from Simon Munawa. The defeat means Chicken Inn remains fourth five points behind log leaders Dynamos.

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Weekend Fixtures 30

Chapungu have written to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) notifying them that they do not have enough players for the replay against Dynamos at Ascot Stadium this Thursday.
PSL had stated that both Dynamos and Chapungu must use the same players involved in the abandoned game. However, Chapungu’s Ngonidzashe Murisa and Nigel Papius left the club for Blue Swallows and Bantu Rovers respectively, while Ian Nyoni, Blessing Zabula, Raymond Sibanda and Maxwell Mavhuto are injured. Speaking to The Chronicle, Chapungu public relations officer Tawanda Zowa said:
<blockquote>We have written to PSL notifying them of our position that we have some players, who were in the team on that day but will not be able to make it. We are now waiting for their response. The bottom line is that we will not be able to abide by their directive. Two of our players have since left the club and we have four who are injured and cannot make a match day squad.</blockquote>

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Weekend Fixtures

Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Ngezi Platinum scooped both awards for the month of July as Tonderayi Ndiraya was named coach of the month while Terrence Dzvukamanja was named the player of the month. Ngezi Platinum has been in great form this season and currently tops the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Ngezi Platinum wins both Coach and Player of the month awards

CAPS United drew 1-1 with Tsholotsho in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played this afternoon.
Pfumbidzai put the Green Machine in the lead in the 10th minute and it seemed as if CAPS would collect a match needed 3 points but it was not to be as Marion Chang equalised from the penalty spot after Zvirekwi handled the ball in the box.
Meanwhile Sunday Chidzambwa’s threat to quit seemed to have motivated ZPC Kariba who registered a 2-0 win over Highlanders.

In a statement, the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League stated that the abandoned match between Chapungu and Dynamos will be resumed from the 56th minute. The date for the match will be announced at a later date.
The Disciplinary Committee ruled that:
<blockquote>The abandoned match to be resumed in the 56th minute on the same score line of 4-0 in favour of Dynamos and on a date to be determined by the PSL. Each team shall meet its own costs in respect of the resumed match.</blockquote>

Dynamos beat Triangle 2-1 at a match played at Rufaro Stadium today. Macheke and Mushure scored the two goals for Dembare whilst Nhamo scored Triangle’s only goal.
Meanwhile Highlanders won 2-0 against Shabanie with goals coming from Makaruse and Matema. Ngezi Platinum won 4-1 against Hwange with 2 goals coming from Godknows Murwira and Qadr Amini and Dzukamanja scoring a goal each. Hwange’s goal was scored by Shepered Gadzikwa.

Castle Lager Premiership Week 19 Sunday Results: Dynamos back to winning ways

The Premier Soccer League has charged Chapungu FC with causing the abandonment of the football match against Dynamos. <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/06/18/dynamos-vs-chapungu-match-abandoned-highlanders-win-hwange/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">The match was abandoned in the 56th minute after a goal post fell and council artisans failed to repair it</a>. Chapungu has been charged with breaching the Premier Soccer League Rules and Regulations and has been summoned to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee for causing the abandonment of a match due to failure to provide a replacement goal. The abandoned match has also been referred to the PSL Disciplinary Committee for determination.

Chapungu to face disciplinary committee for causing abandonment of Dynamos match after goal post fell

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have released a press release confirming that they have received the match report from the Commissioner and the Referee. The PSL is yet to decide on the course of action
The press release reads:
<blockquote>This serves to advise that we have received the official match reports from the Match Commiuioner and Referee as well the home team for the abandoned Castle Lager PSL match between Chapungu FC and Dynamos FC played at Ascot Stadium on Sunday 18 June 2017. 
We are currently perusing the said reports and conducting internal consultations. 
Thereafter, we will advise all our stakeholders on the way forward.</blockquote>

PSL still to decide on abandoned match between Chapungu and Dynamos

Dynamos committee member Graham Mafoko said that they were ready to resume the match from the 56th minute but indicated that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) should field the costs.
Said Mafoko:
<blockquote>The onus is on the PSL. If we are to go back to Chapungu I think they would also need to come in and meet our travelling costs because it is not our fault the match was abandoned. Neither was it Chapungu’s nor the referees’.</blockquote>
Mafoko also said it would be unfair to Chapungu for the remaining minutes to be forfeited. He gave an example of the game between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in 2005 which was resumed with only six minutes to play. However, Zifa Referees’ Committee vice-chairman Gladmore Muzambi said the PSL will have to come up with an independent decision since such situations are not clear on the issue. PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare said a statement will be issued today after the authorities have gone through the official report from the referees.

Dynamos speaks on abandoned match with Chapungu

The match at Ascot Stadium between Chapungu and Dynamos was abandoned in the 58th minute after the goal post fell. When the match was abandoned Dembare were leading 4-0 with goals coming from Mandiranga who scored twice, Mukamba and Epoupa. Attempts to fix the goal post were unsuccessful.

Dynamos vs Chapungu match abandoned, Highlanders win against Hwange

Dynamos beat Ngezi Platinum 3-2 in a five goal thriller at the National Sports Stadium on Thursday evening.
Dynamos’ Denver Mukamba opened the scoring 29 minutes into the game before Ngezi Platinum leveled matters 10 minutes later through Terrence Dzvukamanja and took the lead midway through the second half courtesy of Dominic Mukandi. However, Dynamos captain Ocean Mushure, scored through a free-kick which brought the scores level with 15 minutes to go before Cameroonian striker Joel Christian Epoupa with eight minutes remaining.
