A book by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Edwin_Moyo">Edwin Masimba Moyo</a>, a former owner of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Kondozi_Estates">Kondozi Estates</a> indicates the late former Information Minister Christopher Mushohwe, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/KingJayZim/status/1625143199810420738">King Jay @KingJayZim</a>. 
The book is titled “My Kondozi Story: The People’s Hope Pillaged.“
<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Kondozi_Estates">Kondozi Estates</a> was a farming business in <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Odzi" title="Odzi">Odzi</a> in the province of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Manicaland" title="Manicaland">Manicaland</a>, which specialized in horticulture and would export produce to Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Marks &amp; Spencer and Waitrose in Europe among other places. 
The farm was majority owned by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Edwin_Moyo" title="Edwin Moyo">Edwin Moyo</a> and minority by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=Piet_de_Klerk&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="Piet de Klerk (page does not exist)">Piet de Klerk</a>. Despite being owned by an indigenous African, Kondozi was invaded by ZANU PF politicians in April 2006. The farm was renamed <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=Beverly_Hills_Estate&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="Beverly Hills Estate (page does not exist)">Beverly Hills Estates.</a>
Edwin Moyo who is an entrepreneur, founder and owner of Rolex Fresh Exports, an agri-food company involved in growing, processing, handling, logistics and marketing of fruits and vegetables, described how <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Christopher_Mushohwe">Christopher Mushohwe</a> and <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Didymus_Mutasa">Didymus Mutasa</a> thwarted the hope of about 15 000 black Zimbabweans dependent on the thriving horticultural business.
In the book, as reported by <a href="https://twitter.com/KingJayZim/status/1625143199810420738">King Jay @KingJayZim</a>, Moyo indicated that Mutasa, then Agriculture minister <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Joseph_Made">Joseph Made</a> and former Manicaland governor <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mike_Nyambuya">Mike Nyambuya</a> took over Kondozi and surrendered it to Mushohwe, who literally ran it down.

Moyo claimed the siege was done without President <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Mugabe</a>’s knowledge, with Mushohwe and Mutasa employing all tactics to bar traditional chiefs opposed to the invasion from seeking an audience with the veteran leader. Moyo wrote:

More than 5 000 workers, out-growers and other businesses were displaced and lost their livelihoods in order to resettle one minister.
</blockquote>
Moyo narrates how a group of traditional chiefs from Marange had hired buses to Harare to meet Vice-President Joseph Msika in a bid to have the decision on Kondozi reversed, but were foiled by Didymus Mutasa and Chris Mushohwe. He said:

When Chris Mushohwe heard of the planned lobbying, he threatened to cancel the road permit of any bus company that would carry the chiefs to Harare. He was then Transport minister.

Moyo also claimed that his efforts to seek a meeting with the newly-appointed governor Nyambuya failed.
Edwin Moyo said the ZANU PF “chefs” started looting the equipment from the farm after Chris Mushohwe failed to run it.  Moyo added:

Arda clearly failed Kondozi. The only thing they succeeded in doing was to change the name from Kondozi to Arda Kondozi.
They tried several partnerships that did not work. The real motive had been to use State funds to assist Mushohwe eventually take over the business. 
</blockquote>
Mushohwe <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/former-information-minister-chris-mushohwe-has-died/">died on Monday</a>, 13 February aged 69.

Book Narrates How Mushohwe, Mutasa, Made, Nyambuya Grabbed Kondozi Farm

Hubert Nyabadza the President of the Zimbabwean students in Russia Association, a group representing Zimbabwean students on government scholarships in Russia has written to higher education minister Jonathan Moyo pleading for assistance saying that the students were starving in Russia. He also claimed that Christopher Mushowe, the man responsible for the students on scholarships had done nothing to alleviate their plight. Nyabadza who wrote to Moyo on Twitter said:
<blockquote>My name is Hubert Nyabadza, I am the Zimbabwean students in Russia association president. If you could help me Sir. Students here have a big problem.
We are starving Sir, some of us want to go back home. Mr Mushohwe (Department of National Scholarships in the President’s Office) has done anything about it. Please inform him about this matter please if you can.
We do not know who to talk to, the ones we talk to always tell us kuti hakuna mari ku (there is no money in) government. But we hear that the President Cde Mugabe will (be travelling)</blockquote>
Moyo promised to send the message to the appropriate channels:
<blockquote>Message noted and will be forwarded as a matter of urgency.</blockquote>
This comes as Mugabe left the country for Uruguay on Monday to attend a World Health   Organisation meeting.  First Lady Grace Mugabe is reportedly heading to Moscow through China.  Zanu-PF Youth Leader Kudzanayi Chipanga is in Sochi Russia for a youth gathering.

Scholarship Students in Russia Say They Are Starving, Ask To Return Home

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has introduced television news bulletins in nine languages which were previously marginalized. Speaking during at the launch ceremony at ZBC’s Montrose Studios in Bulawayo Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Dr Christopher Mushohwe said:
<blockquote>We are here for the launch of television news bulletins in nine national languages that were formerly marginalized. In fact, with this occasion we are giving such languages the respect they deserve as Zimbabwean languages as well as fulfilling the dictates of our constitution, which recognizes 16 national languages.
By introducing on television news bulletins in languages that were previously not broadcast, as a national broadcaster, ZBC is promoting the cultures associated with these languages. In other words, the introduction of these languages is synonymous with the introduction or exposure of cultures associated with the languages to the nation.</blockquote>

ZBC introduces news bulletins in nine formerly marginalised languages

Information minister<a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Christopher_Mushowe" target="_blank"> Christopher Mushohwe</a> has come under fire from the Zanu PF Youth league for failing to defend President Mugabe zealously from attacks by party members and war veterans. Mushowe recently lashed out at Julius Malema, and penned a<a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/01/24/govt-releases-press-statement-criticising-julius-malema-comments-president-mugabe/" target="_blank"> strongly worded statement </a>when the South African had called for Mugabe to step down saying “<a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/01/23/malema-calls-mugabe-let-go-tells-grandpa-enough/" target="_blank">Grandpa, it’s enough.</a>”
The youths are peeved that Mushowe does not display the same rabid anger when locals attack Mugabe. The people who have criticised Mugabe, without attracting censure from Muchow include controversial businessman Energy Mutodi and war veterans leaders <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Victor_Matemadanda" target="_blank">Victor Matemadanda</a> and <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Douglas_Mahiya" target="_blank">Douglas Mahiya</a>.
Provincial youth chairperson, Mubuso Chinguno told  journalists yesterday
<blockquote>We are also worried and concerned as youths league, but first we thank and we were impressed by the defence done by Mushohwe to our President Robert Mugabe after utterances by [South Africa opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters leader] Julius Malema. He came out clearand he defended the President, which I thank him for. He even had one hour [on national television] defending the President,
However, our concern and worry, just a week after Malema’s utterances, Energy Mutodi came out guns blazing attacking our President, but there was no word from our Minister of Information. Every week,  Matemadanda and  Mahiya attack our President, and there is no single word from the minister.

Mushowe under fire from Zanu PF youths for failing to protect Mugabe

Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Christopher_Mushowe">Christopher Mushowe</a> has been accused of shedding crocodile tears after <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/01/24/govt-releases-press-statement-criticising-julius-malema-comments-president-mugabe/">he released a scathing statement attacking</a> South  African politician Julius Malema.  <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/01/23/malema-calls-mugabe-let-go-tells-grandpa-enough/">The fiery South African had called for Mugabe to retire telling him “Grandpa it’s enough.” </a>
Mushore’s sincerity on the whole issue has been questioned due to the fact that he has failed to respond or to condemn local politicians who criticise President Mugabe.  An unauthored statement which is circulating in cyberspace and was retweeted by Professor <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Jonathan_Moyo" target="_blank">Jonathan Moyo</a> accuses Mushowe of protecting the locals who criticise Mugabe because they belong to the same faction.  He is accused of belonging to the <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Lacoste,_Zanu-PF_Faction">Lacoste Faction</a>.
The  statement reads:

When people like <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Energy_Mutodi">Energy Mutodi</a>, (Temba) <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Temba_Mliswa">Mliswa</a>, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Christopher_Mutsvangwa">Mutsvangwa</a>, Mahiya, Matemadanda and others attack President Mugabe Mushowe is curiously quiet. He says nothing. 
The things they say about the President are worse than what Malema said but Mushowe can’t condemn the, because they are fellow Lacoste Comrades.</blockquote>
