<p>The city of Harare has declared Moto Republik to be an illegal structure and has taken it down. Moto Republik was a co-working space in Belgravia,  Harare close to Parirenyatwa Hospital. The co-working space employed a number of people and produced notable online tv shows and was home to</p>
<p>Bustop TV, Magamba TV which produces Zambezi News and The Week with Comrade Fatso, Open Parly among others.</p>

<p>However, some of the people who worked at Moto Republik claim that the city of Harare’s actions were illegal because they did not have a court order and they did not give them any notice at all</p>

<p><strong><em>The structure was not taken down in the end. The city of Harare was in the process of taking it </em>down<em> when they stopped.  We have established that the Mayor of Harare Bernard Manyenyeni is the one who gave the order to halt the whole process.  He postponed the tearing down of the structure for one week so that he can hear both sides and establish the best course of action.</em></strong></p>

Moto Republik taken down by city of Harare after it was declared an illegal structure

<p>Pastor Evan Mawarire gets interviewed by  <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Comrade_Fatso">Comrade Fatso</a>, real name <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Comrade_Fatso">Sam Munro</a>, on the satirical program “The Week with Comrade Fatso.”  This was Pastor Evan Mawarire’s second interview after his arrest and detention at <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Chikurubi_Maximum_Security_Prison">Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison</a> on charges of trying to subvert a constitutionally elected government.  The case is still pending at the courts.  After his release on bail, Mawarire had an interview with <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/02/17/10-things-learnt-pastor-evan-mawarires-interview-advocate-fadzayi-mahere/" target="_blank">Advocate Fadzayi Mahere</a> of  <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/ThisFlag_Movement_Zimbabwe" target="_blank">#ThisFlag Movement</a>.</p>

<p>Zimbabwean comedian, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Comrade_Fatso">Comrade Fatso</a>, will host the prestigious African Entertainment Awards (AEA) USA in New Jersey on October 22, 2016.<span id="more-22146"></span></p>
<p>The second edition of the AEA USA awards is being held in New York and New Jersey this week with the main event set to happen at the Liberty Theatre. Nominees include Trevor Noah and Diamond Platinumz amongst many others.</p>
<p>Apart from being host, Comrade Fatso’s organisation, Magamba Network, is up for two awards with their edgy satire show ‘Zambezi News’ nominated for Best African Comedian.</p>
