A book by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Edwin_Moyo">Edwin Masimba Moyo</a>, a former owner of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Kondozi_Estates">Kondozi Estates</a> indicates the late former Information Minister Christopher Mushohwe, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/KingJayZim/status/1625143199810420738">King Jay @KingJayZim</a>. 
The book is titled “My Kondozi Story: The People’s Hope Pillaged.“
<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Kondozi_Estates">Kondozi Estates</a> was a farming business in <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Odzi" title="Odzi">Odzi</a> in the province of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Manicaland" title="Manicaland">Manicaland</a>, which specialized in horticulture and would export produce to Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Marks &amp; Spencer and Waitrose in Europe among other places. 
The farm was majority owned by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Edwin_Moyo" title="Edwin Moyo">Edwin Moyo</a> and minority by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=Piet_de_Klerk&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="Piet de Klerk (page does not exist)">Piet de Klerk</a>. Despite being owned by an indigenous African, Kondozi was invaded by ZANU PF politicians in April 2006. The farm was renamed <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=Beverly_Hills_Estate&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="Beverly Hills Estate (page does not exist)">Beverly Hills Estates.</a>
Edwin Moyo who is an entrepreneur, founder and owner of Rolex Fresh Exports, an agri-food company involved in growing, processing, handling, logistics and marketing of fruits and vegetables, described how <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Christopher_Mushohwe">Christopher Mushohwe</a> and <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Didymus_Mutasa">Didymus Mutasa</a> thwarted the hope of about 15 000 black Zimbabweans dependent on the thriving horticultural business.
In the book, as reported by <a href="https://twitter.com/KingJayZim/status/1625143199810420738">King Jay @KingJayZim</a>, Moyo indicated that Mutasa, then Agriculture minister <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Joseph_Made">Joseph Made</a> and former Manicaland governor <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mike_Nyambuya">Mike Nyambuya</a> took over Kondozi and surrendered it to Mushohwe, who literally ran it down.

Moyo claimed the siege was done without President <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Mugabe</a>’s knowledge, with Mushohwe and Mutasa employing all tactics to bar traditional chiefs opposed to the invasion from seeking an audience with the veteran leader. Moyo wrote:

More than 5 000 workers, out-growers and other businesses were displaced and lost their livelihoods in order to resettle one minister.
</blockquote>
Moyo narrates how a group of traditional chiefs from Marange had hired buses to Harare to meet Vice-President Joseph Msika in a bid to have the decision on Kondozi reversed, but were foiled by Didymus Mutasa and Chris Mushohwe. He said:
<blockquote>
When Chris Mushohwe heard of the planned lobbying, he threatened to cancel the road permit of any bus company that would carry the chiefs to Harare. He was then Transport minister. 
</blockquote>
Moyo also claimed that his efforts to seek a meeting with the newly-appointed governor Nyambuya failed.
Edwin Moyo said the ZANU PF “chefs” started looting the equipment from the farm after Chris Mushohwe failed to run it.  Moyo added:

Arda clearly failed Kondozi. The only thing they succeeded in doing was to change the name from Kondozi to Arda Kondozi.
They tried several partnerships that did not work. The real motive had been to use State funds to assist Mushohwe eventually take over the business.

Mushohwe <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/former-information-minister-chris-mushohwe-has-died/">died on Monday</a>, 13 February aged 69.

Book Narrates How Mushohwe, Mutasa, Made, Nyambuya Grabbed Kondozi Farm

Dorothy Mabika has reportedly replaced the late Manicaland Minister of State and Devolution <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/01/15/just-in-manicaland-provincial-affairs-minister-ellen-gwaradzimba-succumbs-to-covid-19/">Ellen Gwaradzimba</a> who died because of COVID-19 last month.
The news that Mabika is now the new Manicaland senator was first shared by Member of Parliament for Shurugwi North Constituency Tinashe Ngarandi who took to social media to congratulate the new senator in a post that said:
<blockquote>Congratulations to Cde D Mabika for winning the Manicaland Senatorial Post to replace Dr. Ellen Gwarwadzimba.</blockquote>
Not much is not known about Mabika who in 2013 was suspended as a Zanu PF women affairs official. Mabika in 2013  was acquitted of stock theft after she was accused of stealing 6 beasts that were donated by prominent Chipinge farmer and alleged Zanu PF benefactor Dawis Joubert to former President Robert Mugabe.
She reportedly altered the party books to conceal her crime and claimed the cattle died because of lack of food:
<blockquote>….Mabika was being charged with stealing six bull calves donated to Zanu PF by Chipinge farmer Dawid Herculus Joubert and attempting to tamper with party documents to conceal the crime.</blockquote>
Dorothy Mabika also headlined in 2013 for accusing Didymus Mutasa who at that time was the Presidential Affairs Minister and Zanu PF secretary for administration of politically persecuting her because she turned down his love interests.

Dorothy Mabika Replaces Ellen Gwaradzimba As Manicaland Senator

Former War Veterans leader and Zanu PF stalwart Rugare Gumbo has reportedly joined the ruling party again, ZBC News reports. This was revealed yesterday by the party’s acting spokesperson Patrick Chinamasa who said:
<blockquote>There is no doubt that the party, being the oldest political organization founded by the people for the people would welcome heartily Cde Gumbo back to the revolutionary family he helped to found and to which he was part of at a senior level in the prosecution of the liberation struggle.</blockquote>
Chinamasa also took the time to praise his party and said the party was a unifying force that unites members:
<blockquote>Zanu PF is not like any other mushrooming parties that are busy splitting, rather the party is busy uniting its cadres and its people and the nation at large in fighting colonialism, imperialism, and neo-colonialism under the leadership of His Excellency, President Cde ED Mnangagwa</blockquote>
Gumbo was fired together with other party officials like Didymus Mutasa for supporting and rallying behind Joice Mujuru.

Rugare Gumbo Goes Back To Zanu PF - Report

Former President Robert Mugabe could sensationally return to ZANU PF one-and-a-half years after he was deposed through a military coup.
ZANU PF has of late been courting former party bigwigs in a bid to secure their return to the former liberation movement.
Former secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa and former Mashonaland East Resident Minister Ambrose Mutinhiri were this week readmitted to the party. Speaking to the Daily News about Mugabe’s possible return, Mutasa said:
<blockquote>When we gained independence, we were talking about the establishment of a one-party state … but that did not fit with the democracy of the Western world.
Now we should do everything we can to bring everyone back to the party, including him (Mugabe). He worked for Zanu PF more than anyone else, and I don’t think there is anyone who can dispute that. He should, therefore, be brought back into the party.</blockquote>
When asked if ZANU PF is seeking to readmit members who were part of the G40 cabal, the likes of Saviour Kasukuwere and Patrick Zhuwawo, Mutasa had this to say:
<blockquote>For now, I am just a card-carrying member. But I think by now Zanu PF should have developed into the undisputed main party in this country, as we have seen elsewhere. I think from what we have seen so far from Mnangagwa, he wants everyone involved.
If you look at other countries like Tanzania, they have arranged themselves very well, especially their ruling party, and that is what we want to see in our party.</blockquote>

ZANU PF Seeks To Lure Mugabe Back To The Party - Report

Former Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Professor Jonathan Moyo has mocked the ruling ZANU PF party for celebrating the return of Didymus Mutasa and Ambrose Mutinhiri to the party. <a href="https://twitter.com/ProfJNMoyo/status/1115867470450049024" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Said Prof. Moyo:</a>
<blockquote>Zanu PF is Zimbabwe’s political graveyard with the old-guard-deadwood regrouping in the name of restorative politics at Shake-Shake building; while new millennials take on a new transformational agenda elsewhere!</blockquote>
ZANU PF has opened its doors to former party stalwarts who fell out of favour with former President Robert Mugabe, and even after his fall in 2017.
Didymus Mutasa was expelled from the party in 2014 after being accused of hobnobbing with the then Vice President Joyce Mujuru who was also expelled for fomenting a palace coup against Mugabe.
Mutinhiri left ZANU PF to form his own political party after Mugabe’s removal from office through a popular coup.
The duo was officially readmitted to the former liberation party on Tuesday.

ZANU PF Mocked For 'Regrouping Old Guard Deadwood'

Didymus Mutasa the former Zanu -PF secretary for administration and Jabulani Sibanda the former Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) chairman have been readmitted into Zanu-PF. 
Mutasa and Sibanda were expelled from the party during Robert Mugabe’s reign on allegations of trying to unconstitutionally remove the Mugabe. 
Mutasa was accused of backing Mujuru to unseat Mugabe and Sibanda was accused of Insubodination after he accussed Grace Mugabe of plotting a bedroom coup.
Both Sibanda and Mutasa were sacked together with Joyce Mujuru for causing instability in the party based on their alleged fanning of  factionalism 
Simon Khaya Moyo the Secretary for Information and Publicity and party spokesperson made the announcement this afternoon at Zanu-PF Headquarters.

Zanu PF Readmits Jabulani Sibanda And Didymus Mutasa

In an interview with The Herald, Zanu-PF secretary for administration Obert Mpofu confirmed Didymus Mutasa had applied for readmission into the party, saying the party will make a decision on the application. Mpofu also confirmed G40 members had also applied for readmission into the party.
According to sources who spoke to The Herald, Mutasa pledged to work with the new leadership, saying he remained Zanu-PF at heart. Walter Mzembi, Makhosini Hlongwane, Kudzanai Chipanga and Anastancia Ndlovu are seeking readmission into the party after being expelled for being members of the G40 Faction. Said Mpofu:
<blockquote>I can confirm receiving a note from Cde Mutasa. We will sit down and consider his request. I can also confirm that quite a number of former Zanu-PF members are coming back home. They have written to us seeking readmission into the ruling party. We are dealing with the issues to ensure we accommodate them.</blockquote>

Didymus Mutasa Rejects Mugabe's Invitation To Join NPF

Addressing a provincial war veterans meeting at Masvingo Polytechnic on Saturday,  Zimbabwe National Liberations War Veterans’ Association (ZNLWVA)  national commissar  Francis Nhando said they have recommended that Jabulani Sibanda, former Cabinet Ministers Rugare Gumbo and Didymus Mutasa should be readmitted into the association and Zanu-PF party.

Said Nhando:
<blockquote>There are some of our members who were expelled from the party on allegations for belonging to the former Vice President Dr Joice Mujuru’s Gamatox cabal by Mr Robert Mugabe, the former President. Their crime was of seeing problems in the party ahead of the rest of us, otherwise they did not commit any crime. At the top of our list, we want former chairman Cde Jabulani Sibanda back in the association and the party. He was instrumental during the party’s 2013 general elections and during the One Million Men March held in Harare. We also have Cdes; Gumbo and Mutasa who deserve the same treatment because they are our members, so are Cde Kudakwashe Bhasikiti and Retired Colonel Claudius Makova.</blockquote>
Zanu-PF secretary for war veterans Victor Matemadanda, who was the guest of honour at the meeting, advised ZNLWVA to write a letter to his office to formalise the former members’ readmission.

War Veterans Want Zanu-PF To Readmit Didymus Mutasa, Jabulani Sibanda, Rugare Gumbo

Zimbabwe People First (ZPF) founder and former State Security minister Didymus Mutasa has given President Emmerson Mnangagwa one condition for him to rejoin Zanu-PF where he was ousted in 2014 for being an ally of former vice president Joice Mujuru.
He wants Mnangagwa to invite him back to Zanu-PF. Said Mutasa:
<blockquote>I am ready to rejoin Zanu PF. I have not talked to them directly but I have spoken to those who serve the country outside — things are moving very well, I don’t see things going bad.</blockquote>
This is unlikely to happen after Zanu-PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo told Daily News that Mutasa must follow party procedure. Zanu-PF’s constitution requires any individual willing to return to the party to appeal to its central committee, which is its policy-making organ. Thereafter, the appeal is taken to an ad hoc appeals committee of congress whose decisions shall be final.

Didymus Mutasa Ready To Rejoin Zanu-PF, Gives Mnangagwa One Condition

Former minister of state security turned opposition activist Didymus Mutasa has said that former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa got what he deserved after he was fired and had to flee the country. Mutasa said that Mnangagwa was not treated unfairly considering that he was one of the people who cheered loudly when Mutasa and others were pushed out of the party for supporting former vice-president Joice Mujuru. <blockquote>I have got a soft heart for everybody, not only Mnangagwa but anybody who is treated unfairly. However, in this case, I don’t think Mnangagwa was treated unfairly.
There are bad things that he did and they have been exposed now and the question is why they were keeping it all along because they were known even way back.
The way forward I think is to realise that we must not remain as fools because I think that is how Zimbabweans have behaved all along. We have been fools and those that have been put into positions, people like Mnangagwa have behaved foolishly.</blockquote>

Mnangagwa got what he deserved, he had it coming says Didymus Mutasa

Former Cabinet minister Didymus Mutasa has said that he feels sorry for under fire Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Mutasa said that Mnangagwa is being haunted by the system that he helped to set up. Speaking to the Daily News, Mnangagwa said:
<blockquote>I was with him (Mnangagwa) while we were in prison during the country’s liberation war. I used to feed him with bread that was brought by my wife.
The two of us come a long way. We have common friends who told him that what he was doing, denouncing fellow comrades, was wrong.

Mnangagwa is the one who created the one-centre of power that is now haunting him - Mutasa

Former Minister of State Security Didymus Mutasa who is now an opposition politician has said that he is worried about the infighting in Zanu-PF warning that it could end very badly for Zanu7-PF and the country as a whole unless something is done.  The former minister was referring to the factional fights between Team Lacoste which is backing Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and G40 which is reportedly fronted by First Lady Grace Mugabe. Mutasa also claimed that he has tried to reach out to President Robert Mugabe but has been rebuffed.
Said Mutasa:
<blockquote>I have tried to phone him with little success. His phone is just ringing and not being answered, but I will keep on trying.
We don’t want this worsening chaos. We need to sit down and come up with a way forward for the country, not these dangerous fights. As it is, things could end very badly for everyone.
Indeed, it is very disturbing for me as someone who was in Zanu PF to see the party imploding like this, and we cannot let this party go that route.

Zanu-PF's Factional Fights Could End Very Badly For Everyone - Didymus  Mutasa

Croco Toyota has taken former Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa to Rusape Civil Court for failing to settle an outstanding bill. 
Mutasa had his Toyota Hilux vehicle registered in the name of his Lonekop Farm in Headlands serviced by Croco Toyota but failed to pay $8 545 for the service. Croco Toyota states that Mutasa has failed or neglected to pay the outstanding amount despite their demands and they want costs to be granted on a higher scale. Mutasa is yet to respond to the summons.

Croco Toyota sues Didymus Mutasa

Independent legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa has dismissed rumours and reports circulating on social media that his uncle Didymus Mutasa had committed suicide. The former minister of state security has fallen on hard times of late and was reported to be struggling to pay school fees for his children. He also had some of his property attached by the Sheriff of the High Court over an outstanding legal bill.
Mliswa used micro blogging site Twitter to share pictures of him together with Mutasa to prove that he is good health.

Didymus Mutasa did NOT commit suicide

Former minister of State Security and one of the leaders of the Zimbabwe People First party, Didymus Mutasa has said that he will not go back to Zanu PF unless the ruling party apologises to him and explains why he was expelled from the party in 2014. This follows reports that Mutasa is now destitute and has been told that he is welcome to rejoin Zanu PF.
Speaking to the Daily News, Mutasa said:
<blockquote>It takes politeness and a sorry if they want me back, maybe (Ignatius) Chombo as the secretary for administration should write to me stating why I was expelled in the first place. Charamba has nothing to do with this.
It is the president who knows better. If you ask Charamba and the others why I was expelled they don’t even know but to repeat lies that I was talking to Mujuru.
…I am not prepared to go back to Zanu PF unless they change their approach and follow the law.
It is a lie that I phoned Mnangagwa asking to meet the president, no. I called him explaining that the messenger of court was disrespecting a Supreme Court order since he is the minister of Justice.</blockquote>

Didymus Mutasa denied a revelation by George Charamba that he approached Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and asked him to arrange a meeting with President Robert Mugabe. He also denied reports that he is bankrupt and said that he would comment on the matter on Thursday.
Said Mutasa:
<blockquote>This is all rubbish. You media people write what you want and you always misquote me. I have nowhere to go to put the record straight. I never approached Vice-President Mnangagwa, you can phone him to clarify that. All the papers write lies about me, save for Kwaramba. I will never go back to Zanu-PF. Why did they fire me in the first place? What appeared in the Press are all lies. I will comment on that matter the day after tomorrow (Thursday).</blockquote>

Didymus Mutasa denies approaching Mnangagwa & that he is bankrupt

Christopher Mushohwe and Patrick Chinamasa said that Zanu-PF Manicaland is prepared to accept former national secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa on condition that he apologises and starts as an ordinary card carrying member.
Mushohwe who is Zanu-PF Secretary for Economic Affairs and Information Minister said that President Robert Mugabe harbours no hard feelings for Mutasa and is ready to forgive him if he apologises. Said Mushohwe:
<blockquote>President Mugabe has never had hard feelings for Mr Mutasa. When he left the party we did not know what spirit had engulfed him. His actions were more like running away from heaven to hell. The Biblical prodigal son was polite enough when he went back to his father’s house. He asked to be treated like one of his father’s servants and the same should apply to our former leader in Manicaland. President Mugabe has a very large and fatherly heart and if Mr Mutasa apologises, I am sure he will be welcomed back into Zanu-PF. If the prodigal son was forgiven thousands of years ago, the same can also happen to Mr Mutasa.</blockquote>
Zanu-PF Secretary for Legal Affairs and Finance Minister, Patrick Chinamasa concurred with Mushohwe and said that the party will only accept him on condition that he starts as an ordinary card carrying member. Said Chinamasa:
<blockquote>We have no problem in welcoming Mr Mutasa if he decides to come back to Zanu-PF. When that happens, he should be prepared to start from the lowest rank. All he needs to do is to show sincerity and commit himself to work with all party members. He should accept President Mugabe’s leadership. He should respect all the leadership in place like what we all do. This should be the preconditions of readmission into the party.</blockquote>

Zanu-PF Manicaland prepared to accept Didymus Mutasa, gives him conditions

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba revealed that former Zanu-PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa asked Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa to arrange a meeting with President Robert Mugabe.
Mutasa has hit hard times and admits that is so broke that he is even failing to settle his electricity bills. Said Charamba:
<blockquote>We are also aware that Cde Mutasa reached out to Vice President Mnangagwa to communicate his wish to meet with the President. The President has no hard feelings and if Cde Mutasa wishes for that contact he needs to remember that the way remains clear for him to.</blockquote>

<blockquote>We have been following reports on Cde Mutasa, particularly claims of his present condition which suggests hard times. Of particular note has been his wish to meet with the President. I want to indicate to Cde Mutasa – he does not have to beat about the bush if it is the wish and desire to reconnect with the President. Didymus Mutasa free to meet Mugabe or rejoin Zanu-PF

Former Minister of State Security Didymus Mutasa, who was expelled from Zanu PF and from the government in 2014, has said that he is not interested in becoming the president of Zimbabwe due to his advanced age. Mutasa in fact has said that he will be retiring from politics as soon as his party, Zimbabwe People First (ZPF), holds elections to elected its leadership.
Speaking to the Daily News, Mutasa said:
<blockquote>I do not intend to become president of this country in the future owing to my age. In fact, you may want to know that I don’t wish to continue in politics any longer than this, as I will retire from active politics once we have settled for a substantive leadership of the party.
It does not make any sense for me to be saying Mugabe has overstayed and therefore he must go when at the same time I am still vying for political office yet he is only 10 or so years older than me.
I, together with Gumbo, are working on ensuring that the party has proper structures and has a new leadership before I quit because I cannot just wake up and tell others that I am retiring,</blockquote>

I do not intend to be president due to my advanced age: Didymus Mutasa

Former Minister of State Security and Zimbabwe’s first Speaker of National Assembly Didymus Mutasa has fallen on hard times since he was fired from Zanu-PF in 2015. Mutasa is reportedly struggling to pay school fees for his primary school children. He is also failing to service debts including $70 000 owed to Zesa.
Mutasa seems to be finding life hard outside of ZanuPF.
Speaking to the Daily News, Mutasa said:
<blockquote>I can’t pay them (Zesa) with nothing. It’s is true that they say I owe them about $70 000 and I will not be able to pay it because I don’t have that kind of money and will never be able to get it.
I am lucky here that I depend on borehole water and if I was using Harare water, I  would not be able to pay, I am poverty stricken,
I am telling you the truth and it’s all because of the  economic failure and very soon we might as well fail to pay for our  food
…I am not rich because unlike others, I did not even steal a pen when I left government and all that I was supposed to leave behind&amp;nbsp; was properly accounted for.</blockquote>
