<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Walter_Mzembi/">Walter Mzembi</a>, the former Tourism Minister of Zimbabwe, has claimed that ZANU PF members were in agreement about the need to remove Zimbabwean former President <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe/">Robert Mugabe</a>, but differed on the timing of his removal based on their individual and factional interests. 
According to Mzembi, party members were divided on the timing of Mugabe’s removal, as different factions and individuals sought to benefit from the situation. Mzembi made these comments on social media, emphasising that there were behind-the-scenes developments within ZANU PF that the public was not aware of. Responding to a ZANU PF member on X, Mzembi said:

Munoti ndimi makatanga nekuda kubvisa (You think you were the first to plot to remove Robert) Mugabe here, there was far much more happening inside than from outside, but interestingly it was a battle of timing and the conspirators. The team in office now was protecting him, they wanted to remove him themselves when it would benefit them only.

Political analysts have long argued that Zimbabwe’s founding leader, Robert Mugabe, intentionally fostered factionalism within his party, ZANU PF, by delaying the announcement of a successor. By doing so, he created a power struggle among party members who believed that aligning themselves with him would increase their chances of assuming power upon his retirement.
One notable manifestation of factionalism was the <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Tsholotsho_Declaration/">Tsholotsho Declaration</a> in 2004. This secret meeting was allegedly organised by a faction loyal to <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Emmerson_Mnangagwa/">Emmerson Mnangagwa</a>, with the objective of elevating him to the vice presidency ahead of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Joice_Mujuru/">Joice Mujuru</a>, following the passing of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Simon_Muzenda/">Simon Muzenda</a>. Although Mnangagwa had the support of six out of ten provinces, Mugabe amended the party’s constitution to ensure that one of the vice presidents had to be a woman. This move resulted in Mujuru being appointed as vice president instead.
In 2008, a new faction led by <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Simba_Makoni/">Simba Makoni</a> emerged within ZANU PF, but his close supporters were afraid to openly back him as President Mugabe strengthened his control over the party and country. Consequently, Makoni decided to run as an independent candidate in the March 2008 Presidential elections representing his own political party called Mavambo/Kusile-Dawn. He managed to secure 8% of the total votes cast. 
Factional battles within ZANU PF intensified over time. The Gamatox faction, allegedly led by then Vice President Joice Mujuru, emerged as a major contender. However, in 2014, several members of the faction, including Mujuru, were expelled from the party. This allowed Mnangagwa’s faction, then known as Team Zvipfukuto, to regain power. When Mujuru was fired, Mnangagwa was appointed as Vice President.
Subsequently, the G40 faction, composed of younger members, sought to challenge Mnangagwa’s influence and gain favour with Mugabe. Eventually, Mugabe fired Mnangagwa whose faction had rebranded to Team Lacoste, accusing him of plotting against him. This led to <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/November_2017_Military_Coup/">Operation Restore Legacy</a>, a military intervention that resulted in Mugabe’s resignation and the dismantling of the G40 faction. Members of the G40 faction fled the country, fearing retaliation from Mnangagwa’s government.

Mzembi: ZANU PF Members Agreed On Need To Remove Mugabe, Differed On Timing

The High Court has dismissed an application by Nyasha Noreen Del Campo (nee Mujuru) a daughter of former Vice President Joice Mujuru in which she accused her mother of trying to defraud her of one of the companies left behind by his late father, Retired General Solomon Mujuru.
The company at the centre of the fight is Dalhaw Trading (Private) Limited, which has 39.55% shareholding in Willdale Limited, one of the country’s leading brick-making companies.
The High Court dismissed with costs Del Campo’s application in which she sought an order stopping Mujuru from interfering with the operations of the company.
She also sought an order stopping the disbursement of the company’s 2020/2021 financial year’s dividend to Mujuru.
In her ruling, Justice Esther Muremba said there was no evidence of fraud and that Del Campo had no capacity to sue on behalf of Dalhaw. Said Muremba:

I will dismiss the point in limine because the allegation of fraud is without merit. No evidence of fraud was tendered and nothing on the document speaks to fraud.
In casu, the facts or circumstances of the matter do not fit under s 61 (1). If the first applicant (Dalhaw) was unable to take any action to protect itself then it would not have sued as it did.
Only the second applicant (Del Campo’s) name would be appearing on the application.
The mere fact that the company is appearing on the application as an applicant means that it is able to act on own interests…Del Campo cannot institute proceedings in her name on behalf of the company for the matters raised in this application.
It sues on its own…The second applicant is not before the court. So there being no appellants before the court I will strike off the matter from the roll with costs.

In her application, Del Campo had said the fact that Mujuru was her biological mother did not give her a natural claim or rights to her commercial interests and investment.
She said it was her father’s wish for her to inherit the company and her mother and siblings had received their own inheritance.
Del Campo cited Mujuru together with her other daughters Kumbirai, Chipo and Kuzivakwashe as first, second, third and fourth respondents.
Accounting firm, Vali Chartered Company Secretaries was listed as the fifth respondent, Registrar of Companies the sixth respondent while Willdale Limited was cited as the seventh respondent.

Joice Mujuru Accused Of Fraud By Daughter

Former Vice President Joice Mujuru on Monday said she no longer has any political ambitions and is now focusing on raising her family and her farming business.
Mujuru (66), was speaking to journalists soon after meeting the First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa at Zimbabwe House in Harare. She said:
<blockquote>What made me happy is that we spoke about women’s issues considering that we are in the women’s month and did not discuss about positions or politics.
The First Lady is apolitical so we discussed family issues, health and the way we live. Amai sought to catch up with me on my family and the farming business that I am involved in.
I extended an invitation to Amai to come and see for herself at the farm</blockquote>
Mujuru, better known as Mai Mujuru, was the Vice President for nearly 10 years until her expulsion from Zanu PF in 2015.
She was accused of, among other things, attempting to illegally remove the then President Robert Mugabe from power, witchcraft, corruption, colluding with the party’s enemies and sowing divisions in the ruling party.
Mai Mujuru’s Gamatox faction, which included Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo, who were also expelled from the ruling party, went on to form their own party, Zimbabwe People First.
Mugabe appointed the current president, Emmerson Mnangagwa as Mai Mujuru’s replacement.

Former Vice President Joice Mujuru is not sick but has been on a diet and exercise weight loss programme for some time, social media personality Wellence Mujuru has said.
In a post on Facebook, Wellence refuted claims that the former VP was very sick after images showing that Mai Mujuru has lost significant weight surfaced on social media. He wrote:
<blockquote>I would like to clarify that Joice Mujuru ( Teurai Mujuru) is very well and keeping healthy.
In response to messages and posts that she is sick which is very very untrue after photos of Mhamha with her Grandkids circulating .
She has been on a diet and exercise weight loss for some time now and has been very successful, her Doctor has not found anything wrong with her.
Why l have decided to attach those two pictures that reflect her wonderful progress in keeping healthy.
Thank You for those reaching out but she is well.

Since her sacking from the ruling ZANU PF party and government on 2 April 2015, Mai Mujuru’s political fortunes have waned.
Unlike her erstwhile colleagues such as Didymus Mutasa who have rejoined ZANU PF, Mai Mujuru has hitherto avoided entanglement with the ruling party.

Former vice president <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Joice_Mujuru" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Joice Mujuru</a> said that people should listen to her as she has vast experience in politics despite some considering her foolish.
Speaking to the Daily News on Monday, the widow of General <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Solomon_Mujuru" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Solomon Mujuru</a> revealed that she was ready to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa to deliberate on issues affecting the country. She said:
<blockquote>No matter how daft I might look in the eyes of some people, I know something about this country. You cannot throw away 34 years of experience just like that.
People should learn to listen to me and also to listen to other voices. It is important for me to meet and share ideas with the president because there is nothing wrong with seeing our leaders.</blockquote>
Mai Mujuru, as she is affectionately called, has been in the political wilderness since she was hounded out of the ruling ZANU PF party on April 2, 2015.
Her expulsion followed a period of sustained decampaigning by the then first lady <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Grace_Mugabe" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Grace Mugabe</a>, who was alleged to have been eyeing Mai Mujuru’s position in both the party and the government.

Former Vice President and prominent Zanu PF member, Joice Mujuru has warned opposition political leaders of a spying network that uses girls, hotel employees and apartment residence to scout information.

'Beware Of The Girls You Sleep With'  - Joice Mujuru Warns Opposition Of Spying

Former Cabinet Minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo has released the draft document of the failed Grand National Union that was supposed to create an electoral pact between former President Robert Mugabe and MDC leder Nelson Chamisa.
Moyo released the document after Pastor Shingi Munyeza leaked two of the pages to the public. He also said the proposed GNU failed because some parties who were involved in the talks decided to hold bilateral talks which also failed.
Part of the Document read:

1. Indications are that the proclamation for the sitting of the nomination court for the 2018 election is imminent. Accordingly, it is urgent and important to make the necessary strategic decisions ahead of that proclamation. Whilst there is clear evidence of popular support against the coup and its regime, there is however no organised political framework or structure to harness that support into an electorally cohesive political formation capable of winning the election.</blockquote>

Former Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Joice Mujuru has said that she will never rejoin Zanu Pf party. This was after Zanu Pf Secretary for administration Dr. Obert Mpofu said that Zanu Pf was regaining its lost sheep including the former VP.
Mujuru posted on her Facebook page that she is not desperate and she is better off supporting her “son”, an apparent reference to the main opposition leader, the MDC President Nelson Chamisa.

"I Am Not Desperate,There Is My Son To Support", Mujuru

Joice Mujuru’s former ally Kudakwashe Bhasikiti has called on the National People’s Party (NPP) president to join the Nelson Chamisa-led MDC.
Bhasikiti is a former member of the Zimbabwe People First (ZPF), which was led by Mujuru, before she left to form the splinter NPP. Mujuru and Bhasikiti, a former Masvingo Provincial Affairs minister, are both former members of the ruling Zanu PF party.  In a Twitter post, Bhasikiti said Mujuru must join the MDC in order to fulfill her dream for change in the country. Said Bhasikiti:

Bhasikiti Urges Mujuru To Join Chamisa's MDC

National People’s Party (NPP) vice president Dr Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, national chairperson Mr Dzikamai Mavhaire and secretary for information and publicity Mr Jeffreyson Chitando, resigned from the party yesterday morning.
In an interview with The Herald yesterday, Chitando confirmed the development saying he would give reasons for his resignation today (Wednesday). He said three had already resigned, but more resignations were still expected from senior party officials. Speaking to The Herald, Nkomo said he resigned from the Joice Mujuru led NPP before deciding to entirely retire from politics. Said Nkomo:
<blockquote>I firstly resigned from NPP after giving prior notice to the party’s top nine meeting chaired by Dr Mujuru last week. Now that I have resigned from the party, I wish to advise the nation that I am also retiring from politics after participating for 58 years. Mujuru's Deputy Sipepa Nkomo Resigns, Quits Politics

People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) presidential candidate, Joice Mujuru has said that the playing field in uneven ahead of the July 30 harmonised elections. In an interview with The Standard, Mujuru said
<blockquote>…we note with concern the uneven playing field in terms of mobilisation resources, and the violence which has met our campaign teams in various provinces, but more prevalent in Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland East. However, we are ready to receive votes on July 30.
…We have noted the impartiality of traditional leadership in relating to opposition parties in Zimbabwe. We have realised that the current electoral system is expensive and favours the ruling party.
We have established that the Political Parties Finance Act needs to be reviewed with a view to allow mobilisation to be fair to all contesting parties. We have also noted abuse of state resources by the ruling party towards its campaign.
However, the conduct of the police has been outstanding while the general people have welcomed PRC into their homes and hearts…..Issues around administration of ZEC (Zimbabwe Electoral Commission) and its staff remain contentious and are subject to further improvement.</blockquote>

Electoral Playing Field Is Uneven, Favours Zanu-PF: Joice Mujuru

People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) presidential candidate, Joice Mujuru has said that Thokozani Khupe’s MDC-T ignored her when she reached out. Mujuru wanted to form a coalition with Khupe so that they do not split votes. Speaking at a public election discussion forum in Harare, Mujuru said,
<blockquote>I wish all women could have joined hands together so that we accumulate lots of votes from mostly women, youths and the disabled and men too. I approached the leader of the MDC-T, Khupe and I did not get a reply and this obviously has a bearing on the outcome of the votes. The people from Khupe’s camp promised to come back to me so that we map the way forward but up until today I am yet to get a response.</blockquote>
However, Khupe said that she was unaware of the offer and dismissed the assertion that the female candidates would split the vote among themselves. Said Khupe,
<blockquote>Let us look at reality. Are you saying of the 23 presidential candidates who are contesting, only votes will be split among the women candidates?</blockquote>
The two other female candidates contesting in the July 30 presidential election are  Melbah Dzapasi, leader of #1980 Freedom Movement and Violet Mariyacha of United Democracy Movement (UDM).

Khupe Snubbed My Offer To Form A Coalition Of Female Candidates: Mujuru

In an interview with Capitalk Radio on Monday night, National People’s Part (NPP) leader Joice Mujuru said the talks with MDC-T collapsed because Nelson Chamisa was evasive and cunning.
She said they failed to agree on four items which included choosing the coalition’s leader, logos and symbols.
<blockquote>We had a Memorandum of Understanding which we agreed on together. We agreed on most of the things which were contained in that MOU. The things had to do with economic, social and political issues. We didn’t agree on four issues. We said let the people choose a person they want to lead the coalition and let there be no leader who imposes candidates. They refused this saying they had their own people already in Parliament whom they said should remain in Parliament. Because we believe in putting the people forward, we ended up not agreeing. We said the leader should represent Zimbabwe not NPP or MDC. By then they wanted Tsvangirai to be the leader. We also said let us have a logo which unites the people, but they refused saying they already have their logo. These are the issues which led to our disagreement. When we wanted to talk to Chamisa, we saw that he was evasive and cunning on most occasions, yet time was not on our side.</blockquote>

Addressing supporters at Tshabalala’s council hall in Bulawayo Sunday, People’s Rainbow Coalition presidential candidate Joice Mujuru said she will defeat favourites Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nelson Chamisa to become Zimbabwe’s first female president.
Said Mujuru:
<blockquote>There are some who are saying Zimbabwe is not ready for a female president…we went to war and we were never given a gun that is inscribed for use by a women. I am ready and PRC is going to liberate everyone and even those in Zanu PF who are also oppressed.</blockquote>

National People’s Party (NPP) leader Joice Mujuru has called for people to be peaceful ahead of the July 30 harmonised elections. Mujuru was speaking about the murder of two-year-old Professor Lumbe, son of NPP’s Mazowe North parliamentary candidate Rambai Lumbe. <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/06/12/two-year-old-abducted-and-killed-in-suspected-political-violence-case/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Lumbe has blamed Zanu-PF for the murder  saying it was payback for defecting from Zanu-PF</a>. Said Mujuru,
<blockquote>This should be a lesson that our politics in Zimbabwe if it is responsible for the death of this child, must be done in peace. Let’s learn that politics comes and goes, but our relationships stay forever. Your neighbour will always be there and we must learn to love and respect each other. We don’t want this because this will be interpreted in different means. This must be a lesson to everyone that we must learn to live with each other in peace and with love for one another.
What pained me the most is that the victim is a toddler and it is not different from Christpowers Maisiri, who was burnt in a hut. I am hearing that he [the deceased] has a big wound in the head, meaning he was brutally attacked.</blockquote>

Mujuru Mourns 2-Year-Old Who Was Murdered In Political Violence

Political analysts who spoke to Daily News said that People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) leader Joice Mujuru has now reduced herself to a regional leader following her manifesto launch in her hometown.
Political analyst, Eldred Masunungure, said Mujuru should have launched her manifesto outside of her home area to prove that she is a national leader. Said Masunungure:
<blockquote>She (Mujuru) wanted to launch it in her home area among her people where she is the daughter of the soil. After what happened to (splinter MDC leader Thokozani) Khupe programme last week where people didn’t show up, Mujuru had to be creative, but that is not as things ought to be. If you are a national leader who must not be regional and she should have launched it in other rural settings to prove that she is really a national leader, she must feel comfortable in any location in Zimbabwe.</blockquote>
Political analyst, Maxwell Saungweme listed reasons why Mujuru lost popularity chief among them being the lack of ideology and her tainted past as a Zanu-PF politician.

Mujuru Has Reduced Herself To A Constituency Leader

The leader of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, Lucia Matibenga has urged women to back female candidates in the 2018 presidential elections. Matinenga said that people needed to see the bigger picture hand vote for Joice Mujuru. Speaking to NewsDay,
<blockquote>People need to be rational and see the big picture that we need to remove Zanu PF. I noticed that it was impossible for me to campaign and make a name before the general elections in a few months, and so I decided to support a fellow female candidate, who has already made a name, the People’s Rainbow Coalition presidential candidate Joice Mujuru (National People’s Party leader)… but we need to see the bigger picture and support Mujuru, because she is a more experienced politician and has already made a name in politics.
I think it is very possible for a female candidate to win the elections because women make up 52% of the population and the majority of voters and they must rally behind a female candidate.</blockquote>

Women Must Rally Behind A Female Candidate, Am Backing Mujuru: Matibenga

Joice Mujuru’s party, the National People’s Party (NPP) has refuted reports that it has joined the Nelson Chamisa led MDC Alliance coalition. The NPP claims that it last held talks about joining the MDC Alliance with the late position leader Morgan Tsvangirai. In a statement, NPP secretary general Gift Nyandoro said,
<blockquote>The NPP…wishes to set the record straight pertaining to mischievous falsehoods and lies being peddled and circulated in the social media to the effect that its leadership has resolved to join the MDC Alliance.
NPP has not made such a resolution and no such meeting has ever occurred as alleged by the political prophets of doom…To the best of its understanding, NPP remains seized with a Memorandum of understanding signed between it and MDC-T. Since the death and burial of Dr Richard Morgan Tsvangirai, there has never been a resumption of constructive engagement by the parties involved except social media falsehoods of NPP having resolved to join MDC Alliance.</blockquote>

Mujuru Dismisses Reports Of Joining Chamisa, MDC Alliance

National People’s Party (NPP) deputy national spokesperson Methuseli Moyo quit the Joice Mujuru led party saying the new political landscape needs rethinking.
Said Moyo:
<blockquote>This is to notify you of my resignation from the National People’s Party with immediate effect, today 26 April 2018. This is purely on personal reasons. This has been one of the hardest political decisions of my life as NPP had become part of my life, my second home and my hope. However, developments within and outside the party have led me to decide to end my association with NPP. It is my considered position that the post-Mugabe (former president), post-Tsvangirai (late Morgan) era requires new strategies and new alignments.</blockquote>

Deputy Spokesperson Dumps Mujuru

Through her lawyers, Gift Nyandoro of Hamunakwadi and Nyandoro Law Chambers, People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) leader Joice Mujuru has written to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) complaining over her exclusion from the political parties’ platform, where the upcoming elections are discussed. She has given ZEC five days to respond.
Mujuru’s lawyer Gift Nyandoro was responding to reports that ZEC held numerous meetings with Zanu-PF, MDC-T and the Welshman Ncube led MDC. He said such meetings undermine democracy and a free and fair election. Said Nyandoro:
<blockquote>With respect, the above development has taken our client with shocking surprise and, hence, our client writes to enquire with your office if indeed participation in the political discourse of our country more so in light of the forthcoming harmonised elections is only a preserve of parties represented in Parliament. Our client further wishes to find out if the so called electoral [law] amendments are being done under the auspices of your office given that our client is not even aware of ever having been invited to such a key political meeting whose outcome would without doubt seek to shape the future political trajectory of our country; should the possibility of holding of free and fair elections be a reality?</blockquote>

"Why Are You Excluding Us": Mujuru Complains To ZEC

The Joice Mujuru-led People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC)’s secretary general Gorden Moyo has said they will establish a leaner Cabinet comprising technocrats if elected into power.
In an interview with NewsDay, Moyo outlined the coalition’s 10 pledges which include implementation of the devolution provisions of the Constitution, repealing repressive legislation and rejoining the Commonwealth. Moyo who is also secretary general of the People’s Democratic Party faction led by Lucia Matibenga said the PRC will ensure free primary school education and launch an inquiry into the disappearance of Itai Dzamara and other activists. Said Moyo:
<blockquote>The PRC government will immediately repeal the Indigenisation and Empowerment Act, Public Order and Security Act and Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The PRC government will urgently take steps to rejoin the Commonwealth and seek to remove all impediments including Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act, 2001 (Zidera) that have been inhibiting Zimbabwe from enjoying investment, development finance and trade relations with the rest of the world. The PRC government will ensure that every child will get free access to primary education. And long-term concessional loans will be extended to students in colleges, universities and tertiary institutions.The PRC government will institute two judiciary inquiries on disappearances, one on missing persons such Itai Dzamara and Paul Chizuze and others, and another on the missing $15 billion and other illicit financial flow</blockquote>

Mujuru's PRC Promises Economic Boom In First 100 Days In Power

Former Vice President and presidential candidate for the opposition coalition,  People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) Joice Mujuru has revealed that she is willing to work with retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri’s National Patriotic Front (NPF). The NPF has been endorsed by former president Robert Mugabe and has been alleged to be his creation. Mujuru however, said that she was not going to actively court the NPF to join the PRC.
In an interview after a rally in Midlands, Mujuru said,
<blockquote>We welcome him to the political fray and wish him the best. But as PRC, we are not saying he should join us, neither are we saying he should not. Our train is in motion and anyone who is willing should jump onto the train before it leaves.
…We have failed to handle the province (Midlands) and as a result, we have divided the province into two to allow the party to reach out to the people at grassroots.
We all know that Ngwena (as President Mnangagwa is known in political circles) hails from here and regards this as a no-go area but I challenge you to work hard</blockquote>

Joice Mujuru Willing To Work With Mugabe's New Project, The National Patriotic Front (NPF)

Speaking at the funeral of the founding leader of the opposition MDC-T party, former vice president Joice Mujuru said that she has decided to join the MDC Alliance with immediate effect. Mujuru said that her People’s Rainbow Coalition (PRC) was going to join the MDC Alliance in order to form a grand coalition against Zanu-PF in the coming harmonised elections. Mujuru had previously resisted efforts to join the alliance because of the inclusion the letters MDC in the name.
Said Mujuru
<blockquote>…When I last talked to Tsvangirai, we were putting finer details to the Memorandum Of Understanding with regards to the alliance.
We are now saying, may all Zimbabwe’s opposition parties come together as it is in line with the people,’s will. We should work together and fight against poverty because it has become unbearable, it is too painful.
We acknowledge the war that you fought Mr Tsvangirai and I have accepted that we should work together to fulfil your dream. So as opposition parties, we say rest in peace and we will honour our pledge.</blockquote>

Joice Mujuru In Dramatic Reversal, Pledges To Join MDC Alliance To Stage Grand Coalition

The MDC Alliance led by Morgan Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru’s National People’s Party are reported to have travelled to South Africa for coalition talks. The parties have failed to agree in the past with Mujuru insisting that she will not join unless the coalition has a neutral name which does not favour the MDC.  According to NewsDay, the talks have been disguised as a workshop.
MDC-T secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora confirmed the meeting although he denied that it was about forming a coalition. Said Mwonzora,
<blockquote>Our understanding is that since we have formed our coalition in Zimbabwe, the purpose of the workshop is focusing on how to make meaningful coalitions and avoid the obvious problems associated with alliance building.
For us, it is an educational workshop, it is not to firm on anything, so we are not going to South Africa to form any coalition with anyone.  We don’t have to go to South Africa to do that.</blockquote>
Mujuru is reported to be in South Africa already.

MDC Alliance, Joice Mujuru To Hold Coalition Talks In Cape Town

National People’s Party (NPP) leader Joice Mujuru’s University of Zimbabwe (UZ) doctorate thesis is equally dodgy with her graduation as a PhD student being an inspiration for jokes.
The thesis is titled “A strategic exploratory entrepreneurship study of sustainable agricultural businesses in Zimbabwe: Case studies of Mitchell and Mitchell in Mashonaland East Province and Dotito irrigation scheme in Mashonaland Central Province” and was supervised by Professor Isaac Chaneta and Professor Claude Mararike.
UZ <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/01/25/university-of-zimbabwe-release-grace-mugabes-phd-thesis-four-years-later/">released former first lady Grace Mugabe’s doctorate thesis four years after she graduated in 2014</a> together with Mujuru. Mujuru graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Faculty of Commerce and while she holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management with Chinhoyi Universit, it could also not be established when she started her studies with UZ.
<a href="http://www.chronicle.co.zw/vp-mujuru-thesis-on-uz-library-shelves/">The Herald</a> reported that Mujuru’s PhD thesis was on UZ’s shelves barely a month after she graduated with the State owned newspaper claiming that the mysterious appearance of only Mujuru’s thesis out of 12 others pointed to a sinister agenda to discredit Grace’s PhD thesis. A UZ employee who was interviewed by the publication said that the process leading to the publication of a dissertation or thesis took at least 12 months.

Zanu-PF condemned the attack on National People’s Party leader Dr Joice Mujuru and members of her party by suspected Zanu-PF youth in Glen Norah, Harare, on Thursday.
In a statement yesterday, Zanu-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo said acts of violence do not have a place in society. Said Khaya Moyo:
<blockquote>With reference to the incident of assault on members of an opposition political party on February 1, 2018 in Glen Norah, Harare South District by whosoever, zanu-pf condemns such actions unreservedly. I understand the Zimbabwe Republic Police has made some arrests in connection with this, which is commendable. The law must therefore take its course. His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has consistently and persistently appealed to all Zimbabweans, irrespective of political parties they belong, to refrain from any form of violence in their day today activities. Peace is a prerequisite for development.</blockquote>
