Galatasaray announced they will “initiate criminal proceedings” against Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho after accusing him of making “racist statements” following their Süper Lig 0-0 draw on Monday, reported <a href="https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c4g037jl80ko">BBC Football</a>.
The exact comments Galatasaray referred to were unclear, but Mourinho had said the home bench was “jumping like monkeys” and criticized Turkish referees, calling it a “disaster” to use a local official.
The match was refereed by Slovenian Slavko Vincic after both clubs requested a foreign referee.
After the game, Mourinho was asked about the performance of 19-year-old defender Yusuf Akcicek. He responded:

I have to thank the referee. After the big dive in the first minute and their bench jumping like monkeys on the top of the kid… with a Turkish referee, you would have a yellow card after one minute and after five minutes I would have to change him.
I went to the referee’s dressing room after the game, of course, the fourth official was there, a Turkish referee.
I told him ‘thank you for coming here, you come for a big match’ and I turned myself to the fourth official and I said ‘if you were a referee this match would be a disaster’.

In a statement, Galatasaray also said they plan to file official complaints to football authorities. Reads the statement:

Since the commencement of his managerial duties in Turkey, Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has persistently issued derogatory statements directed towards the Turkish people.
Today, his discourse has escalated beyond merely immoral comments into unequivocally inhumane rhetoric.
We hereby formally declare our intention to initiate criminal proceedings concerning the racist statements made by Jose Mourinho, and shall accordingly submit official complaints to UEFA and FIFA.
Furthermore, we shall diligently observe the stance adopted by Fenerbahce – an institution professing to uphold ‘exemplary moral values’ – in response to the reprehensible conduct exhibited by their manager.

Two-time Champions League winner José Mourinho, 62, became Fenerbahçe’s manager last summer. Earlier this season, he was banned and fined for criticising refereeing standards in Turkey.
Ahead of Monday’s game, Mourinho welcomed the decision to use a foreign referee, having previously described the football environment in Turkey as “toxic.”
After 24 rounds of fixtures, Galatasaray are top of the Süper Lig with 64 points, followed by Fenerbahçe with 58 points. Samsunspor sit third with 46 points, while Beşiktaş, who have played 23 games, are fourth with 41 points.

Serie A club AS Roma has fired manager Jose Mourinho following a poor run of form that left the club 9th on the log standings.

AS Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin thanked Mourinho “for the passion and commitment he has shown” as boss. They added in a statement:

Roma’s league form had collapsed, with just one win in their previous five matches.

His contract was due to expire at the end of the current season.
Mourinho has previously managed Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho Returns To Serie A As Roma Coach

Tottenham Hotspur has fired coach Jose Mourinho a few hours after the club was named among six Premier League clubs that have signed up to the European Super League (ESL).
The Portuguese manager leaves Tottenham Hotspur after 17 months at the club. He replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs manager in November 2019 and guided the club to sixth in the Premier League last season.
Mourinho, who has led Spurs to the Carabao Cup final, leaves the club with them sitting seventh in the Premier League with six games left of the domestic season to play.
Tottenham play Southampton on Wednesday with the club five points off the Champions League places.
Mourinho’s coaching staff of Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra have also been sacked. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said:

Paris Saint Germain have appointed Mauricio Pochettino, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager, as their new coach after sacking Thomas Tuchel.
The Argentine international who played for PSG between 2001 and 2003 has signed a deal until 30 June 2022, with the option of an extra year.
He has been out of work since being sacked by Spurs in November 2019 following a dismal start to the new season. Jose Mourinho was appointed as his replacement.
Pochettino took charge of his first training session on Sunday following the French league’s winter break.

Tottenham Hotspurs have dismissed their coach, Mauricio Pochettino following a poor start to the EPL season with just five wins prompting chairman Daniel Levy to say a change had to be made in the “club’s best interests”.
In a statement released by Tottenham on Tuesday evening, Levy said:

Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.</blockquote>
Pochettino has been at the helm of the club for five years but has been failing to bring any trophy to Spurs.
The former Argentina international defender led Spurs to top-four finishes in four of his five seasons in charge, as well as their first Champions League final in the 2018/19 campaign.
They are currently 14th in the table and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Colchester.
