<a href="https://twitter.com/zanupf_patriots/status/1210592243880476678">ZANU PF Patriots</a> have posted on Twitter saying that they do love the latest album of Zimadancehall artist, Winky D which is scheduled to be launched on the 31st of this month.
The remarks come when various interpretations have been given to one of the songs on the album which is already making rounds on social media. Posting on twitter ZANU PF said:
<blockquote>We love Winky D’s new album<img alt="‼️" class="emoji" decoding="async" draggable="false" src="https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/203c.png"/> We have used his song here as background to clarify what we imported as it’s meaning in our situation. Remove sanctions/jecha tikande nhano.</blockquote>

Winky D previously clashed with some ZANU PF fans for his songs including “Kasong KeJecha” which were said to be containing hidden political meaning.
He was forced to abandon his Kwekwe show in 2018 after some alleged ZANU PF sympathisers attacked him.

"We Love Winky D’s New Album," - ZANU PF

Zimdancehall award-winning musician Winky D says he now fears for his life. The ‘gaffer’ has since fled from his home and gone into hiding after suspected ZANU PF activists visited his home.
In a telephone interview with The Standard, Winky D’s manager Jonathan Banda said:
<blockquote>It is a very sensitive matter for me to comment on right now. I do not think it is a good thing for me to talk about that issue currently.
I do not know how safe it is for me to comment on his safety, but maybe we can talk about it in the coming days.</blockquote>
Winky D’s 2018 hit song, KaSong Kejecha, made him persona non grata to ZANU PF supporters as the song is considered to have ‘Kudira Jecha’ nuances, a saying popularised by the opposition MDC.

'KaSong Kejecha' Hitmaker, Winky D Goes Into Hiding As He Fears For His Life

Winky D’s manager, Jonathan Banda, has sought to clarify the controversy around his client’s hit song, “Kasong Kejaecha. In an interview with the <a href="https://www.thestandard.co.zw/2018/12/09/winky-d-camp-speaks-kasong-kejecha/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Standard</a>, he said that the song has nothing to do with politics. He said politicising the song is a figment of listeners’ imaginations.
Banda had this to say
<blockquote>
I was actually surprised that there is a political interpretation of the song. I thought it would be taken as a social message because Winky D is apolitical.
If this song is political, then anything else can be given a political meaning. For some unknown musician to then make a political response to it while others contemplate not playing it on the radio is worrisome and uncalled for.

Banda’s remarks come as little-known Admire Sanyanga Sibanda released a song which looks like an attempt to discredit ‘Kasong Kejecha’. 
Sanyanga, who is considered to be a ZANU PF apologist, released a song titled ‘Mushana Pajecha’.
