A 30-year-old woman from the Chief Zimunya area of Mutare appeared before the Mutare Magistrates’ Court, facing charges under the Children’s Protection and Adoption Act.
The court heard that on October 11, 2024, the accused was at her employer’s homestead with her 11-month-old baby.
She allegedly laid the child on the floor face down and assaulted her with a stick multiple times, instructing her to crawl.
The woman recorded the assault and sent the video to the child’s father. The incident came to light when the video went viral on social media, prompting police intervention.

The accused pleaded guilty and, during mitigation, claimed to suffer from an undisclosed mental disorder.
She was remanded in custody until October 30, 2024, pending examinations by two doctors in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
Meanwhile, former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF) suggested that the woman’s actions may have been driven by poverty and frustration.
In a post on X, he stated that she “needs counselling, not prison,” and pledged to provide her with US$2,500 to help kickstart an income-generating project.

Former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF) has derided the country’s gold-backed currency, the ZiG, claiming it has caused significant problems for Zimbabweans due to its rapid devaluation.
In recent days, social media platforms have been flooded with price stickers from supermarkets, revealing sharp increases in the cost of basic grocery items since the currency’s launch in April 2024.
For example, a 2-litre bottle of cooking oil, initially priced at around ZiG42, now exceeds ZiG70 in some stores, despite the official exchange rate changing by less than ZiG1.
These price hikes suggest that retailers are relying on the street rate, which is reportedly above US$1: ZiG20.
In a post on X, Zivhu mocked the ZiG, comparing it to petrol mixed with ethanol, which some motorists claim is of poor quality and lacks durability. Said Zivhu:

Zivhu’s sentiments were backed by an economist, Professor Gift Mugano, who tagged government apologist Mmatigari in his comment. Mmatigari responded:

Mugano then said Zivhu’s comments should not be ignored as he is one of the most progressive Zimbabweans”, who lives with the people and is a consumer. Wrote Mugano:

[Killer Zivhu] is one of the most progressive Zimbabwean I admire. He is real. He lives with the people. He is a consumer. In this particular case of the ZiG, he gave his own experience as a consumer. If you don’t respect him/like him, that is your problem.

Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF), said that he narrowly escaped death after he was involved in a road accident on Christmas Day.
Zivhu posted pictures on social media of a heavily damaged white vehicle he was driving when the accident occurred in Plumtree.
In another post on X, just before midday on Boxing Day, Zivhu thanked the police in Plumtree and staff at the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) for saving his life.
The outspoken former lawmaker, who is the current president of the Zimbabwe Cross Border Traders Association (ZCBTA), dismissed rumours that the accident was an attempted assassination. He wrote:

Earlier on 25 December, Zivhu said “Just had an accident now, along Plumtree Road, if I don’t make it goodbye guys.”
On 24 December, Zimbabwe slammed lawyers, saying they were responsible for the challenges Zimbabweans are currently facing. He wrote:

Former ZANU PF MP, Killer Zivhu, Survives Horror Car Crash

Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF) has claimed that villagers now prefer barter trade than accept payment for their products in Zimbabwe Dollars.
Zivhu, who was expelled from ZANU PF after he called for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and CCC leader Nelson Chamisa, also said touts now measure the local currency in kilogrammes. He said:

Manga muchiziva here kuti kumamisha, vava kuti marara RTGs, hanzi noumwe Hwindi chingopekai Bond muma 1kg, kombi yava kuita 1kg bond, mumwe muchembere hanzi zviri nani, kundipa 2kg ye sugar ndokupa mugomo we mbambaira, mari inorambiwa chero ne benzi hanzi haitengi. (Did you know that villagers are now saying the Zimbabwe Dollar is now rubbish? One kombi tout said pack ZimDollar notes in 1kg packs because a ride now costs a kilogramme of Zimbabwe dollars. An elderly woman said it is better to give her a 2kg packet of sugar for her bucket of sweet potatoes. Imagine, a currency that even a madman rejects!

Some manufacturers are reportedly refusing payment in Zimbabwe dollars for some products which are now exclusively available in foreign currency.
The Zimbabwe dollar has been in free-fall over the past few months after the Government tweaked the forex auction system.
Last week, the RBZ set the official exchange rate at US$1: ZW$5 900 while the street rate was hovering at US$1: ZW$9 000.
However, some large retailers were using at least US$1: ZW$10 000 for selected products.
Popular fast-food outlets were rejecting the local currency on the pretext that their point-of-sale machines were not working and therefore could not accept swipe and EcoCash payments.

Even Madmen Now Rejecting Zimbabwe Dollar - Zivhu

Zimbabwe Cross Border Traders Association (ZCBTA) president, Killer Zivhu, has said the Government should admit that the economy has self-dollarised as most service providers are now rejecting the Zimbabwe dollar.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.newsday.co.zw/local-news/article/200011832/economy-has-dollarised-cross-border-traders">NewsDay</a> on Friday, Zivhu claimed that even formal retail outlets such as supermarkets are now rejecting the local currency on the pretext that their swipe machines are now working. He said:
<blockquote>
If you go to the major supermarkets, they will tell you that their swipe machines are not working. Dollarisation has already taken place informally but formally people are just pretending that the big supermarkets are running away from the local currency.
</blockquote>
Commenting on the recent move by the Government to lift an import ban on basic grocery items, Zivhu said they have engaged various financial institutions for loans to enable cross-border traders to import stock for their businesses. He said:

In the next three months, we will make sure that everything (pricing) has normalised.
We have requested more than US$100 million from financial instructions and they are willing to help us and our 3 million members across the country to import the basic goods.
We have put in place measures where there will be open markets which will be done in all our districts in the country so that those who are in rural areas can have access to order affordable products in their respective areas.

Last week the Government removed duty on 11 selected imported basic grocery items and allowed shops and other Zimbabwean businesses to keep 100 percent of the foreign currency they get from sales.
The products that will be imported duty-free include maize meal, rice, milk, flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil, petroleum jelly, toothpaste, bath soap and washing powder.

Cross Border Traders Say The Economy Has Self-dollarised

Killer Zivhu has challenged ZANU PF to recall the President of the Zimbabwe Council of Chiefs, Chief Fortune Charumbira.
Although the National Constitution says traditional leaders should be apolitical, <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/zanu-pf-is-ours-chiefs/">Charumbira, who is a Senator, has openly voiced his support for ZANU PF</a>.
Charumbira urged President Emmerson Mnangagwa and opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa to engage in dialogue for the good of the country.
He made the call while addressing mourners at the funeral of the mother of CCC’s Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume in Masvingo recently. Chamisa was among the mourners.
The outspoken Zivhu, who has repeatedly spoken about his love for ZANU PF since his expulsion, said the majority of Zimbabweans want dialogue between the country’s major political parties, ZANU PF and CCC. <a href="https://twitter.com/killerzivhu1/status/1637721793736630275">Said Zivhu</a>:

Killer Zivhu Dares ZANU PF Fire Chief Charumbira

Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF), said that he has not rejoined the ruling party despite going on the campaign trail for its candidate ahead of the March 26 by-elections.
Zivhu recently attended a ZANU PF rally in Chivi South, where he delivered a solidarity message.
He told NewsDay that he has written to ZANU PF to be readmitted but offered himself to help the ruling party win the Chivi South seat. He said:

I have not joined ZANU PF. I am helping my former party to win back the constituency. I haven’t written any letter to be readmitted. 
This is my former party just like if a former church is having a crusade, there is no need for one not to attend.
I offered myself to assist not that l have been recalled or rejoined Zanu PF.
I want to categorically state that personally, I support (President Emmerson) Mnangagwa as an individual. I have been supporting him for years and I will continue to support him.
By so doing, I pledged to him that I would not campaign as an independent to divide the vote during by-elections and I will help any ZANU PF candidate out of respect for Mnangagwa.
It does not worry me a lot. I have my own reasons for supporting Mnangagwa. You can pledge to forgive someone who has killed your daughter or your mother. It is your choice to forgive.

Zivhu was expelled from ZANU PF in 2020 and later recalled from Parliament for misconduct.
The misconduct charge emanated from his call for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nelson Chamisa, who at the time was leading the MDC Alliance.

Killer: I Haven't Rejoined ZANU PF

Former ZANU PF legislator for Chivi South, Killer Zivhu has said the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) this week recovered the vehicle he got from Parliament.
This happens barely days after it emerged that Zivhu who was expelled from ZANU PF in 2020 together with Norton independent MP, Temba Mliswa, and self-exiled former minister, Saviour Kasukuwere met in South Africa.
Zivhu confirmed the development and accused the ruling ZANU PF of victimising him because he was critical of the party. He wrote on Twitter:

Zimbabwean government way of dealing with criticism yakaoma, chokwadi out of more than 30 fired MPs, ndini ndoga ndatorerwa motor ne ZIMRA yandakapiwa neParliament, kkkkk zvakaoma zveboyz idzi, but I will continue driving hangu handzizofambi netsoka. [ZIMRA has confiscated the vehicle I was given by Parliament because I am critical of the government. Out of more than 30 MPs who were fired, I am the only one whose car have been confiscated by ZIMRA. I, however, won’t be travelling on foot.]

The vehicles are given to Members of Parliament through a Vehicle Loan Facility Agreement with the Parliament of Zimbabwe.
Last year, <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/04/03/parliament-moves-to-recover-vehicle-from-hwende/">Parliament approached the High Court seeking to recover a motor vehicle granted to MDC Alliance MP Chalton Hwende</a> during his time in office.
Alternatively, Parliament wanted an order compelling Hwende to repay the US$55 000 loan that was advanced to him under the government vehicle loan facility agreement.
Hwende who was recalled from Parliament on May 5, 2020, had reportedly been refusing to stand by the conditions of the agreement and was refusing to return the motor vehicle.
Parliament initially approached the court in March 2021 with similar summons against 20 recalled MDC Alliance MPs demanding that they return the motor vehicles granted to them or alternatively pay back the US$50 000 loans.

"ZIMRA Seized The Car I Got From Parliament" - Zivhu

ZANU PF bigwigs are reportedly worried after exiled former party commissar Savior Kasukuwere, outspoken former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu and Norton MP Temba Mliswa (Independent) met in South Africa last week.
Kasukuwere, Zivhu and Mliswa were pictured together, raising speculation in ZANU PF that the trio could be plotting a comeback.
Kasukuwere, a former cabinet minister during the Robert Mugabe era, is in exile in South Africa along with other G40 members.

He is accused of being behind a court challenge by a ZANU PF youth, Sybeth Musengezi, who has instituted legal proceedings against the ruling party over processes that led to Mnangagwa’s rise to power in 2017.
But speaking to NewsDay on Sunday, Kasukuwere dismissed the allegations as “childish ramblings and conspiracy theories”.
Meanwhile, Mliswa said there was nothing wrong with his meeting with Kasukuwere and Zivhu. He said:

People are coming up with all sorts of conspiracies just because we were together.
I was expelled from ZANU PF by a faction involving Kasukuwere — and if anything, I should not be with him, but there is more to life than politics.
We were not plotting anything, and I will continue meeting whoever I need to. Soon I will post pictures with Chamisa too; he is my sekuru (uncle) just like Kasukuwere or Jonathan Moyo (former Higher Education minister).
The intricate web of totems links us. Now, should I shun that because of politics? No.
</blockquote>
Mliswa and Zivhu are both ZANU PF critics but claim they are fully behind Mnangagwa’s “vision”. Added Mliswa:

As for ZANU PF, as a party, it’s clear that it has lost itself and in its current state, it is a rogue entity that is going against the principles of the liberation struggle.
It has been hijacked by a lot of mafikizolos who have no DNA of the party. The ZANU PF I belonged to stuck to the founding principles of the struggle.
Thus on the basis of those principles I have never been out of ZANU PF. The current power holders in the party have kicked out people with the real DNA of ZANU PF.

Kasukuwere, Zivhu, Mliswa's Meeting Worries ZANU PF

Sirizani Batau, a truck driver who was burnt and injured while rescuing people who were involved in a road traffic accident 20km outside Mutare on Christmas Eve has been hailed as a hero by his compatriots.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday said the government will honour Batau for his heroics. He, however, did not reveal the kind of honour to be bestowed on Batau.
Former Chivi South legislator, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF) called on the Government to avail a house or residential stand for Batau instead of giving him a mere badge of honour. Zivhu tweeted late Sunday night:

This guy deserves a house or a stand, not just a badge, achatora nguva yakareba asingashandiri mhuri yake nemaronda awo (he won’t be able to work for his family for a long time as he recovers from his injuries.
Politicians this guy saved lives. No cheap politicking please, kana zvaramba (if you cannot help him) I will see what to do kushinga kwake kwakandibata (I was touched by his heroics).

Responding to Zivhu, another Twitter user, <a href="https://twitter.com/evans_zw/status/1475345219432419330?s=20">MrVanzD</a> proposed that the Government should open a logistics company for Batau and buy him a truck (horse and trailer) to enable him to start his own business. He wrote:

My proposal would be. 1. open him a logistics company and gvt must buy him a truck (horse and trailer) and let him start his own business. 2. also gvt must buy him a decent house in any city of his choice for his family. 3. give him the Ambassador of Peace Medal.

The accident occurred on Friday when a Beta bus collided head-on with a fuel tanker which burst into flames upon impact.
Police have released the names of three of the five people who died in the accident. The three are Delan Ndoro of Mapfunde Village, Chief Zimunya, Mutare, Admire Mandeya of Nyatate Village, Chief Mutasa, Nyanga, and Rufu Zambezi (48) of number 36 Glenora Drive, Harare who was the fuel tanker driver.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said two other victims who were burnt beyond recognition are awaiting forensic tests.

Mutare Accident Hero Deserves A House, Not "Honour" - Zivhu

Controversial former ZANU PF MP, Killer Zivhu has sensationally claimed that a sceptre that allegedly belonged to the late former president Robert Mugabe was handed over to Saviour Kasukuwere, an exiled former cabinet minister.
This comes after Chief Zvimba summoned former First Lady Grace Mugabe to a traditional court to force the exhumation of Mugabe’s remains for proper reburial.
Mugabe’s exiled nephew Patrick Zhuwao accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa of sponsoring the attempt to have his uncle’s remains exhumed as he believes the veteran leader was buried with a sceptre that has spiritual powers which enhances a leader’s ability to govern.
Zivhu claims he was present when the sceptre was handed over to Kasukuwere because he “was chosen”. <a href="https://twitter.com/killerzivhu1/status/1393065354717536256" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Zivhu tweeted this Friday:</a>

The old man was angry with what happened. But the old man’s sceptre is in Kasukuwere’s custody. He was chosen, but as to what the sceptre is used for, I don’t know.</blockquote>
Speaking in an interview with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Wednesday, Zhuwao said:
<blockquote>… the reason Emmerson Mnangagwa wants to exhume the mortal remains of president Mugabe is that he has been looking for what is referred to as tsvimbo yaMambo/[induku yeNkosi], which is really the sceptre that he believes will give him the authority to be the leader of Zimbabwe.
Emmerson Mnangagwa, in my presence and the presence of my two colleagues, has indicated that he believes that there are 16 traditional leaders who will effectively anoint the person that will be able to effectively govern Zimbabwe and he believes that president Mugabe had that tsvimbo yehuMambo/[induku yobuKhosi] (royal sceptre).</blockquote>

His dismissal from the party was preceded by his suspension, for violating the party’s code of conduct and insubordination after he called for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa.
He said he will continue ZANU PF’s development initiatives despite his dismissal and he has been praising President Mnangagwa at every chance, something that was viewed by analysts as a strategy to secure the president’s mercies.
Of late, Zivhu has <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/03/22/you-are-being-used-zivhu-warns-people-defecting-to-zanu-pf/">been critical of his party</a>, probably after realising he was never going to be readmitted into ZANU PF.

"Kill Me Already," - Killer Zivhu As His Benz Is Torched

Former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu has questioned the value of holding elections in Zimbabwe considering that they almost always result in disputed outcomes.
Zivhu, a controversial businessman who was expelled from the ruling Zanu PF party last year for his outspokenness, claimed that the late former president Robert Mugabe lost to the late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai in 2008 but refused to relinquish power.
In a post on Twitter, Zivhu asserted that elections “are a waste of time” and Zimbabweans are better off engaging in dialogue rather than wasting national resources on useless elections. He wrote:

In another tweet, Zivhu said Zimbabwe should change its name if the national Constitution has a provision for that because the name is tainted and has become associated with all things that are negative. He wrote:

Former Chivi South Legislator Killer Zivhu has told people who are defecting to Zanu PF and speaking ill of their former political parties that they are being used by the ruling party Zanu PF  and they will be discarded once their mission is over.

Chairman of the Zimbabwe Cross Border Traders Association (ZCBTA), Killer Zivhu believes that the majority of his compatriots are foolish because they celebrate mediocrity.
Zivhu challenged politicians to work for the development of the country during their entire five-year terms as much as they do during campaigns.

Zivhu, whose outspokenness sometimes borders on provocation, was fired from Zanu PF by the Politburo on 10 June 2020 following a recommendation by the party’s National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).
Zivhu’s home province of Masvingo recommended his expulsion after he used social media to push for a meeting between First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and MDC-Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife Sithokozile.
He was accused of breaking party protocol and was only recommended for expulsion after he ignored several warnings.
Following one of his tweets in 2019 calling for a meeting between Mnangagwa and Chamisa’s wives, Zivhu said he received death threats from unknown numbers. He wrote:

Majority Of Zimbabweans Are Very Stupid - Zivhu

Norton legislator (independent) Temba Mliswa has said he has 18 children instead of 50 as alleged by former Chivi South lawmaker, Killer Zivhu.
Zivhu had furiously responded to tweets by Mliswa who was criticising Norton Council for approving residential stands in swampy areas putting people’s lives in danger especially during the rainy season. Mliswa had said:

Mliswa responded disputing Zivhu’s allegations. He said:

Mliswa’s fury over the allocation of stands in wetlands comes at a time when a number of people across the country lost properties after heavy rains triggered massive flooding.
It is alleged that the stands would have been illegally allocated by corrupt council officials in cahoots with land barons.

Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF), has said Zimbabweans should buy their own ventilators in case they contract COVID-19.
Zivhu, who is active on social media, <a href="https://twitter.com/killerzivhu1/status/1346046912806449153" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">shared a photo on Twitter</a> in which he attached himself to a ventilator and captioned the picture with the words:
<blockquote>Tenga ventilator yako woisa kumba kana zvaipa wodaidza doctor wokubetsera Covid inouraya (Buy a ventilator and keep it at home so that you can call a doctor for help if you contract the deadly coronavirus).</blockquote>
Zivhu’s post however did not go down well with some of his followers on the microblogging site. Freelance journalist Hopewell Chin’ono commented:

They loot your public funds, destroy the healthcare system, abandon you to die, THEN come and MOCK you like this!
Then you have some US$10 a week social media trolls coming here to support this dross!</blockquote>
A local doctor who uses the Twitter handle @drjaytee87 criticised Zivhu for his “shamelessness”. He said:
<blockquote>That’s why they said there is no shortage. They have stocked the vents… They have no shame… To think we have patients who need vents right now what did we do to deserve such.</blockquote>
Political activist, Thandekile Moyo, said Zivhu’s arrogance shows Zimbabwe is in the hand of criminals. She commented:

Killer Zivhu Says People Should Stock Ventilators At Home

Former Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu is seen in the following video donating what looks like canoes he said he was donating to teachers at an undisclosed school. Zivhu said the teachers could use the boats to catch fish at the Tugwi Mukosi dam and they can either eat the fish or sell them to sustain themselves as life has become unbearable for teachers due to poor remuneration.
Last week Zivhu also <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/zivhu-gives-teachers-food-hampers-urges-them-to-return-to-work/">donated mealie meal and relish to some teachers</a> and said they should not worry about such commodities for now.
Zivhu was recalled from parliament by Zanu PF for allegedly calling for a dialogue between the MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa and President Mnangagwa.

Former ZANU PF legislator for Chivi South, Killer Zivhu has pleaded with teachers in his constituency to return to school and resume classes as learners are lagging behind.
He made the remarks after donating a few bags of mealie-meal to teachers who he said should be cognisant of the “fact” that president Emmerson Mnangagwa was working to return things to normalcy.
Zivhu also pledged to work with the community in a bid to continue providing food hampers to teachers.
Teachers did not return to work when schools reopened on 28 September citing incapacitation. They are being paid approximately US$35 per month.
Some say what all teachers need, like any professional want, is to be paid a decent salary and be able to have the dignity to buy their own groceries not to be beggars.

Zivhu Gives Teachers Food Hampers, Urges Them To Return To Work

Former Chivi legislator <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Killer_Zivhu">Killer Zivhu</a> has taken a swipe at MDC T and its leaders and likened them to touts who formed their party just to make money.
Zivhu was using the microblogging site Twitter when he said:

Zivhu’s remarks come after MDC T recalled many councilors that were elected using the MDC Alliance card, and virtually paralysed Harare and Beitbridge Councils even though they denied that they will paralyse Harare City Council.

Be Strong, Ignore Money Mongering MDC T Touts - Killer Zivhu To Chamisa

The ruling ZANU PF this Tuesday recalled Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu from Parliament. <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/06/10/zanu-pf-expels-killer-zivhu-with-immediate-effect/">Zivhu was expelled</a> from the party early June after proposing a dialogue between president Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa.
The recall was announced by the Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda who said he was notified on 1 July that Killer Zivhu was no longer a Zanu PF member. Mudenda said:
<blockquote>Section 129(1)(k) of the Constitution provides that the seat of MP becomes vacant if a member has ceased to belong to a political party of which he or she was elected into Parliament, and the political party concerned by written notice to the Speaker has declared that the Member has ceased to belong to it.
Pursuant to the above, I hereby inform the House that a vacancy has arisen in the National Assembly by operation of the law and the necessary administrative measures will be taken to inform the President and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission of the existence of a vacancy in line with section 39(1) of the Electoral Act Chapter 213 as amended.</blockquote>
The development brings to 22 the total number of parliamentarians recalled since this May with the majority of the recalled being members of the MDC Alliance.

ZANU PF Recalls Zivhu From Parliament

President Mnangagwa has given the expelled Chivi South Legislator Killer Zivhu the go-ahead to continue implementing and carrying out the projects he had started in his constituency. The Herald reports.
According to the publication Zivhu wrote to Mnangagwa after he was fired and pledged his allegiance and asked the president to allow him to continue with his projects as he said they were helping the vulnerable.
In his response, President Mnangagwa through his  principal private secretary, Mr William Gwatiringa responded and said:
<blockquote>His Excellency, the President acknowledges, with thanks, receipt of your letter accepting your expulsion from the party, following the decision by the Politburo at its 340th Ordinary Session, Wednesday June 10, 2020
The President learnt of your pledge of loyalty and continued support of his person. This gesture is further shown by your expression to keep up the good work by proceeding with all the projects you already started and programmes that assist a number of the vulnerable members of society.
His Excellency also recognises your attitude, not only working for Zanu PF, but also by your willingness to support your successor
Add to this that you want to also ensure His Excellency the President’s vision of Zimbabwe becoming a middle income economy by the year 2030 is achieved, is highly commendable.
If all that you have pledged to continue doing is fulfilled, your re-admission into the party will be both acceptable and desirable.</blockquote>
Zivhu was fired after his party accused him of pushing for dialogue between Chamisa and Mnangagwa without regarding the party’s procedures and processes.

ED Gives Zivhu The Go Ahead To Implement The Projects He Has Started In His Constituency

The ruling ZANU PF party has fired Chivi South Member of Parliament Killer Zivhu with immediate effect.
The controversial politician was sacked from the party following a ZANU PF politburo meeting held this Wednesday at the party’s headquarters in Harare.
Zivhu has blamed his sacking on unnamed politburo official who he says owes him US$1.5 million.
He added that he reported the official to the Zimbabwe Anti-corruption Commission (ZACC) in an effort to recover his money and this has ultimately led to his sacking. Said Zivhu:
<blockquote>My effort to recover 1.5 million USD from the most powerful Politburo member yandidzingisa (led to my sacking). I reported him to ZACC and I was about to give them evidence. The Chamisa story is just a cooked one. The man was so vicious in the Politburo meeting today to make sure ndadzingwa (that I was fired).
I will remain a Zanu pf member by heart and support the President on his vision 2030. I will not stand as Independent whatever comes. I love Zanu pf the people in my constituency will forever cherish my work.</blockquote>
In August last year, Zivhu was suspended from the party by the Masvingo provincial district committee after he called for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa.
Zivhu was saved from the chop by the party’s National Political Commissar, Victor Matemadanda, who warned the Masvingo Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) that expelling party members only worked to weaken the party.

ZANU PF Expels Killer Zivhu With Immediate Effect

Chivi South Member of Parliament Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF) has scoffed at social media reports claiming that he built a mansion from the proceeds of corruption.
Pictures of a double-storey house owned by the outspoken legislator, according to the reports, circulated on social media platforms.
Zivhu responded by posting videos on Twitter showing a factory which manufactures sanitary pads both for the local market and for export. Zivhu captioned the videos with the words:

Nelson Chamisa, a leader in the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party has scoffed at reports that the party “is finished” by ZANU PF legislator Killer Zivhu.
Zivhu tweeted calling upon opposition supporters to join the ruling party he said was set to win resoundingly in the 2023 elections. He said:
<blockquote>2023 Zanu PF will win elections with big margins than 1980, mark my words. Kana uchida (if you love) politics just join Zanu PF now, the opposition party is finished.</blockquote>
Responding to New Zimbabwe on the relevance of Zivhu’s remarks, Chamisa said that the opposite was true comparing MDC to a mountain while equating the ruling ZANU PF to an anthill. He said:
<blockquote>Are you really serious about this question! Who is this Killer Zivhu! You cannot compare a mountain to an anthill. Is it possible?</blockquote>
Zivhu’s remarks come when the MDC is marred by factionalism which was further and clearly pronounced after the Supreme Court ruling on the party’s leadership crisis.
The ruling reinstated Thokozani Khupe as the leader of the party while Chamisa was demoted to a secretary of Policy and Research.
The party is divided over the ruling with those backing Chamisa refusing to accept the outcome.

Chamisa Responds To "The Opposition Party Is Finished," Reports

The Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Nick Mangwana has said that he made some investigations which concluded that intended beneficiaries received their rice. Mangwana posted on Twitter saying:
<blockquote>Talking to family members in <a class="link-complex" data-user-name="killerzivhu1" href="https://twitter.com/killerzivhu1/" rel="noopener user noreferrer" target="_blank">@killerzivhu1</a>‘s Chivi South constituency as well as local leadership including councillors, all confirm that the rice alleged to have been stolen has actually been distributed to the beneficiaries. What are we dealing with here Hon, local politics?</blockquote>
These remarks are in sync with those of <a href="https://zimbabwevoice.com/2020/01/04/zivhu-lied-about-zanu-pf-officials-stealing-donated-rice/">Zimbabwe Republic Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who said:</a>
<blockquote>From our investigations we have established that the rice in question was distributed in Chivi South constituency by the Department of Social Welfare on the directive of the relevant minister. We have also established that another consignment is on its way there. There’s no theft which took place.</blockquote>
This is contrary to <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/01/03/masvingo-zanu-pf-party-bigwig-stole-donated-rice-killer-zivhu/">allegations by Chivi South Constituency legislator, Killer Zivhu who alleged that ZANU PF Officials stole some rice.</a>
Zivhu was last year suspended by ZANU PF Masvingo leadership which also wanted him expelled from the party over reports that he was calling for dialogue between MDC leader, Nelson Chamisa and President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Norton Legislator (independent), Temba Mliswa also posted on Twitter reminding Zivhu that he was seen as a G40 member who benefitted under former president, Robert Mugabe in land deals through Chombo, therefore, he was being avoided by some party members.

A ZANU PF MP, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Killer_Zivhu" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Killer Zivhu</a>, has sponsored one hundred pr_stitutes and vagrants to undergo driving lessons.
Speaking to ZimLive, the Chivi South Zanu PF legislator said that the training of the two groups will empower them with skills for them to contribute towards the fulfilment of the government’s Vision 2030. He said:
<blockquote>It’s just a starting point, Vision 2030 is a target for the country to reach middle-income level. Our sex workers and homeless people are more disadvantaged than the rest, and it’s not by choice but circumstances beyond them.</blockquote>
Zivhu was a few months ago nearly expelled from the ruling party at the instigation of the Masvingo provincial executive. His “crime” was using social media to call for one-on-one dialogue between President <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Emmerson_Mnangagwa" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Emmerson Mnangagwa</a> and MDC president <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Nelson_Chamisa" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Nelson Chamisa</a>, a position that is anathema to ZANU PF.
He was saved from expulsion by party political commissar, Victor Matemadanda, who argued that errant party members should be reformed rather than expelled.

In a move that may look like Zanu Pf is sealing Killer Zivhu’s fate, villagers gathered at Madzivire School in Ngundu were yesterday told not to associate themselves with initiatives spearheaded by the embattled MP. According to Newsday, participants of the meeting were told to prepare for a by-election to replace the Chivi South Legislator.
According to people who  spoke to the publication:
<blockquote>They claimed that Zivhu’s fate was sealed during a meeting they held at President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s farm in Kwekwe where it was agreed that all MPs suspected to have been associated with the G40 faction will be fired
Ordinary villagers were warned that they will not receive food aid if seen working with the MP, while civil servants risked being transferred. Traditional leaders and councillors were also warned that their positions were at risk for working with the current MP</blockquote>
Zanu PF leadership in Masvingo Province suspended Killer Zivhu after he called for a dialogue between ED and Chamisa to end the economic crisis ravaging the country. Zivhu’s lawyer has, however, said, that kind of politics was left in the old dispensation and some Zanu PF Members don’t realise it:
<blockquote>They should wake up and smell the coffee. It’s now the new dispensation, whose underpinning ethos are legality, constitutionalism, progress and development. They have jumped the gun!</blockquote>

Stop Associating With Development Initiatives Being Spearheaded By Zivhu - Masvingo Zanu PF Villagers Told

The ruling ZANU PF party will this Wednesday hold an ordinary session of the Politburo at its headquarters in Harare.
This was confirmed by the party’s secretary for Information and Publicity, Simon Khaya Moyo in a statement on Tuesday. He said:
<blockquote>The Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu wishes to advise all Politburo members that there shall be an ordinary session of the Politburo to be convened at the party headquarters today at 1000hrs.</blockquote>
The politburo is expected to deal with Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu’s future after his province, Masvingo, called for his expulsion from the party.
Zivhu stands accused of gross indiscipline after he used social media to advocate for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC leader Chamisa.

ZANU PF Politburo To Hold Ordinary Session

The ZANU-PF Politburo will decide whether to expel Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu from the party after Masvingo Province recommended his expulsion.
Zivhu crossed paths with his comrades after he called for President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s wife, Auxillia, and MDC leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife, Sithokozile, to push their husbands to dialogue.
Zanu-PF secretary for Legal Affairs Paul Mangwana on Monday confirmed that the National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) will make some recommendations which will then be forwarded to the politburo. He said:
<blockquote>Yes, I acknowledge that the party received recommendations made by Masvingo Province in regard to Cde Zivhu’s case.
The party’s National Disciplinary Committee will sit and make some recommendations after thorough deliberations on the case.
The NDC will make their recommendations to the Politburo for endorsement.
The Politburo will make the final decision on the fate of Cde Zivhu.</blockquote>
After expressing his sentiments on social media over Mnangagwa/Chamisa dialogue, Zivhu reportedly snubbed the party’s provincial disciplinary committee chaired by vice-chair Ailess Baloyi.
