<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Madzibaba_Andby">Madzibaba Andby</a> born <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Madzibaba_Andby">Andby Makururu,</a> founder of the <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Johane_the_5th_of_Africa_Apostolic_church" title="Johane the 5th of Africa Apostolic church">Johane the 5th of Africa Apostolic church</a> has defended his ‘<a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/god-will-give-15-years-of-life-to-those-who-vote-for-mnangagwa-madzibaba-andby/">prophecy’</a> that people who vote for President Emmerson Mnangagwa will live longer.
Makururu who is also the founder of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=Ruvheneko_Rwenyenyedzi_Trust&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="Ruvheneko Rwenyenyedzi Trust (page does not exist)">Ruvheneko Rwenyenyedzi Trust</a> has claimed that God will grant 15 more years of life to people who will vote for Mnangagwa in the upcoming elections.
In a <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/god-will-give-15-years-of-life-to-those-who-vote-for-mnangagwa-madzibaba-andby/">video circulating on social media</a>, Madzibaba Andby claims to have had a conversion with the Holy Spirit regarding Zimbabwe’s forthcoming elections.
He made the remarks while addressing hundreds of his church followers in Zimunya Township in Mutare last week where he was celebrating his birthday. Speaking to <a href="https://www.newsday.co.zw/local-news/article/200008979/makururu-defends-bizarre-ed-prophesy">NewsDay Weekender</a>, Madzibaba Andby said:

On the issue of 15 years, I was talking to people who I was praying with and those who know God and Jesus. It is even in the Bible to respect your mother and father so that your years on earth will be increased, this is the same when respecting our government.
It is even in the bible that we should respect our government, not opposition. Churches should come in the open to support their government, especially the indigenous churches.
The moment you respect your government, you will have peace in the country and things will be flowing and your years will be added.
The people I command respect our government and the ruling party, now we are going to the elections there is need to respect our leaders and government.
As church leaders we are praying for our country so that we have peaceful elections and I am going around the country preaching about unity in the country.

The ‘prophecy’ that Madzibaba Andby gave to those who will vote for Mnangagwa was heavily criticised as blasphemous in some quarters.
In Zimbabwe, religion and politics are strongly connected. The ruling party, ZANU-PF, has used religion to gain support and legitimacy, while some religious leaders have spoken out against political oppression and corruption. 
However, the relationship between religion and politics is not always clear-cut, with accusations of collusion and exploitation on both sides.

<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Madzibaba_Andby">Madzibaba Andy Mkururu (Andby)</a> has claimed that God will give 15 more years to those who will vote for President Emmerson Mnangagwa in 2023 elections.
In a video circulating on social media, Madzibaba Andby claims to have had a conversation with the Holy Spirit regarding Zimbabwe’s forthcoming elections. Watch the video below:
Madzibaba Andby then orders John the 5th of Africa Apostolic Church congregants, said to number 800 000 in the country, to vote for President Emmerson Mnangagwa before, asking them to stand up so they receive their 15-year additions. He said:

When I vote I will be under the Holy Spirit putting my X on President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Zanu PF is going to win resoundingly in the upcoming elections.
The children of John the 5th of Africa who number 800 000 will vote for Mnangagwa. I have no child who will rebel against the church’s decision.
Those who will vote for Mnangagwa will get another 15 years of life. This is what the Holy Spirit has said, that is the word of prayer. May those who will vote stand up so that they get their years added.

God Will Give 15 Years Of Life To Those Who Vote For Mnangagwa -  Madzibaba Andby

The leader of an Apostolic sect, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Madzibaba_Andby" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Madzibaba Andby Makururu</a>, will this Sunday launch a six-track album Kutumwa KwaCommander during a church service in Mutare.
Madzibaba Andby, who is the founder and leader of the Johanne the Fifth of Africa Apostolic Church, Johanne Masowe eChishanu, said he has 10 singers who are part of his group. He said:
<blockquote>l have about 10 singers and there are some who want to be part of the group and we have no problem with that.
If you listen to the album, it is going to be one of the best gospel albums in the country this year. What motivated me is that l wanted these musicians to earn a living and very soon we are going to have live shows across the country.</blockquote>
The album has songs such as Commander Andby, Ndine Machinda Angu, Riye Riye Girimende, Ndinenge Rombe, Denga Ndera Baba and Humambo WaBaba Manuwero.
The launch of “Kutumwa kwaCommander” comes as another musician from an Apostolic sect, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mambo_Dhuterere" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mambo Dhuterere</a>, has taken over the airwaves with his album “Dare Guru”.
