A few days ago, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Felisha_Murata/">Fifi</a>, the daughter of a popular comedian in Zimbabwe, had her nude photos leaked on the internet. The issue took over most of Zimbabwe’s social discussion on the internet.
The mother, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai Titi</a>, is a controversial individual in the country. She’s also a social media influencer.
In an emotional post on Facebook, Mai Titi said she was also taken by surprise by the leaked photos.
She said the photos were leaked by her daughter’s ex-boyfriend. According to the post, unbeknownst to her as a parent, Fifi he had been blackmailed by the ex for a year, forcing her to pay him to not leak the pictures. Eventually, according to Mai Titi, her daughter ran out of money and the pictures were leaked.

This is a very difficult moment for me as a mother but what I promise is you can mess all you want with me but with my kids it won’t end well. The press , individuals who circulated this I’m aware . Being a single mom and failed relationships doesn’t mean you are a prostitute, there s nothing I didn’t do for my children I gave them everything and also told taught them about life . Fifi's mother, Mai Titi, speaks on daughter's leaked photos. "Being a single mom and failed relationships doesn’t mean you are a prostitute"

Zimbabwean socialite <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi/">Felistas Murata Edwards</a>, also known as <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi/">Mai Titi</a>, has been acquitted of theft of trust property by High Court Judge Justice Happias Zhou. The State agreed with Murata’s defence that the lower court had made a mistake in convicting her. As a result, her conviction has been overturned.
Murata had previously been imprisoned on fraud charges under similar circumstances. In this case, she was accused of unlawfully misrepresenting to the complainant, Rachel Mhuka, that she needed $10,000 for her business and would use her Mercedes Benz as collateral. Murata allegedly knew that the vehicle did not belong to her. She then gave Mhuka a different vehicle, an Audi Q5, which she later replaced with an invalid passport as collateral.
When Mhuka discovered that the passport was invalid, she confronted Murata, who promptly returned the Audi Q5. Subsequently, in January 2023, the police seized the car from Mhuka, claiming that it had been stolen from Else Event Car Hire. The car hire company had reported Murata for theft of trust property.
According to the State, Murata had rented the vehicle on September 29, 2022, and had agreed to make weekly payments of $770. However, she failed to make the payments and became evasive, leading to the involvement of the police. The vehicle, which is valued at $18,000, was eventually recovered.
With the acquittal, Murata is no longer considered guilty of the theft of trust property charges.

Mai Titi Acquitted Of Theft Of Trust Property By High Court

<a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai TT</a> says God put her in prison for a reason and she has come to terms with the fact that jail will be her home for the next several months.
Speaking exclusively to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/in-god-she-trusts-mai-tt-speaks-exclusively-from-prison/">H-Metro</a> on Monday on the sidelines of a party hosted for the children of inmates at Chikurubi Female Prison, Mai TT, whose real name is Felistas Murata, said:

I am yet to accept that I have to stay behind these walls and get used to such an uncomfortable environment.
What came into my mind on my second day in my cell was my idea of visiting this same prison years ago.
I pleaded with prison officials to allow me to spend one night with inmates, but they denied me that chance, arguing that their protocol does not consider such requests.
I was touched by the living conditions of inmates, especially innocent babies, accompanying their mothers in prison.
I wanted to know more and little did I know that one day I would be counted among inmates kwete zvekunyepera kana kukumbira.
I want to believe that God is the one who gave me the idea to visit the prison and donate sanitary wear and food that year.
Ndakazarurirwa kuti ndiMwari akazoona zvakanaka kuti ndiuye nenzira inouya nevazhinji vavo.
A new chapter of my life has started and I need more grace to endure until I complete my sentence.

The party was hosted by Collen Abrahams, who is the son-in-law of Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service Commissioner General, Moses Chihobvu.
Mai TT was last week sentenced to an effective nine (9) months imprisonment following her conviction for theft of trust property.
She was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, 6 months were suspended on condition that she doesn’t commit a similar offense in the next 5 years. It means she will serve an effective 6 months for the offence.
During the trial at the Harare Magistrates Court, it emerged that Mai TT defaulted on a court order, to perform community service once, following a conviction for assault eight years ago.
For defaulting on 105 hours of community service, Mai TT was ordered to serve 3 months in prison.
In total, Mai TT will serve 9 months in prison.

God Put Me In Prison For A Reason - Mai TT

<a href="https://wiki.pindula.co.zw/Zimdancehall" title="Zimdancehall">Zimdancehall</a> artist <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Seh_Calaz">Seh Calaz</a>, whose real name is Tawanda Mumanyi, has condemned people who are seemingly celebrating Mai TT’s jailing for theft of trust property, fraud and assault.
<a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai TT</a>, born Felistas Murata, was last week sentenced to an effective nine (9) months imprisonment following her conviction.
Soon after her sentencing, some people took to social media platforms to mock the comedienne who has more than 1.4 million followers on Facebook.
However, Seh Calaz believes it is wrong to celebrate Mai TT’s imprisonment, saying every person has his or her skeletons in the closet. The Zimdancehall chanter <a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=283610740934059">wrote on Facebook</a>:

"No Human Being Is Perfect", Seh Calaz Defends Jailed Mai TT

Zimbabwean social media personality <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai TT</a>, whose real name is Felistas Murata, has been sentenced to an effective nine (9) months imprisonment following her conviction for theft of trust property.
Presiding magistrate Munashe Chibanda considered that Mai TT is a female offender who has two minor children.
Mai “Total Trouble” was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, 6 months were suspended on condition that she doesn’t commit a similar offense in the next 5 years. It means she will serve an effective 6 months for the offence.
During the trial at the Harare Magistrates Court, it emerged that Mai TT defaulted on a court order, to perform community service once, following a conviction for assault eight years ago.
For defaulting on 105 hours of community service, Mai TT was ordered to serve 3 months in prison.
In total, Mai TT will serve 9 months in prison.
The comedienne was on Tuesday convicted of theft of trust property by Harare Magistrate Munashe Chibanda.
Mai TT was remanded in custody pending sentencing initially on Wednesday, but the ruling was made on Thursday, 15 June.
In her judgment, the presiding magistrate described the case as a “classic case of theft of trust property”.
Allegations were that in September 2022, Mai TT approached Rachel Mhuka saying she was in need of US$10 000 so that she could start a business.
She allegedly volunteered to give Mhuka a Mercedes Benz (AFF9759), which she claimed belonged to her, as surety.
Mai TT told Mhuka that she would forfeit the Mercedes Benz in the event that she failed to repay the US$10 000 on or before 30 November 2022.
The State alleges that acting on the misrepresentation, Mhuka gave Murata US$10 000.
After some days, Mai Titi allegedly returned to Mhuka and demanded back the car saying it did not belong to her.
She allegedly offered Mhuka an Audi Q5 (AFG3701) and an expired passport as surety.
Sometime in January this year, Mhuka was then approached by police from ZRP Rhodesville, who then seized the Audi Q5 saying it belonged to Else Event Car Hire.
Mhuka then lodged a complaint with the police leading to Mai TT’s arrest.
It is further alleged that Mai Titi approached Liberty Kudakwashe Vazhura at Else Car Rental intending to hire an Audi Q5.
Vazhura and Mai Titi then entered into an agreement where she was supposed to pay US$770 per week and a lease agreement was signed.
She failed to make the weekly payments, which prompted Vazhura to order her to return the car.
Vazhura then reported the matter to Rhodesville Police Station.
The car was recovered from Mhuka’s place of residence where Mai Titi had surrendered it as collateral.

Mai TT Convicted Of Theft Of Trust Property

Zimbabwean comedian and musician, Mai Titi (Mai TT), whose real name is Felistas Murata, has accused her ex-husband and her former friend of leaking her nudes.
In an interview with <a href="https://www.chronicle.co.zw/mai-tt-nudes-leak-blames-ex-hubby/">Chronicle</a>, Mai TT said she had no doubt that her ex-husband, (name supplied) and her former friend, (name supplied) were responsible for the leak.
She said she has since notified authorities in Zimbabwe and the United States of America of the cyber-bullying and revenge porn violation.
Revenge porn is revealing or sexually explicit images or videos of a person posted on the internet, typically by a former sexual partner, without the consent of the subject and in order to cause them distress or embarrassment.
Mai TT’s former husband is reportedly based in the United States of America and was allegedly the one who sent the pictures and video to the comedian’s friend. Said Mai TT:

I’ve already reported them both in the countries they live in and here in Zimbabwe.
I don’t have any relationship with her (former friend). I don’t know what she is fighting.
Revenge (from ex-husband) because he knows he is never going to step in Zimbabwe due to the money he stole and I put him on the wanted list.

The pictures, which show Mai TT completely naked appear to have been shot off a video call.
Under the Cyber Security and Data Protection Act, the transmission of intimate images without consent is a criminal offence.
For example, you cannot send someone’s nude pictures without that person’s consent.
It is also not allowed to take someone’s intimate pictures without them agreeing to it.

Social media personality <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai TT</a> appeared in court on Thursday, 02 March 2023 on allegations of defrauding a Harare woman of US$10 000.
According to <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/mai-titi-appears-in-court/">The Herald</a>, Mai TT, whose real name is Felistas Murata (36), borrowed the US$10 000 on the pretext that she wanted to venture into business and offered a hired car as collateral security.
She was not asked to plead to fraud and theft of trust property charges when she appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court.

Mai Titi jetted back into the country yesterday, just in time for her daughter’s birthday, after spending a couple of days in Sandton, South Africa celebrating her own birthday.
Mai Titi’s two daughters are both doing very well under her care. Last year, Felisha launched her own cosmetics brand.
Both Felisha and Titi are brand ambassadors for a fashion boutique. Titi also has several other projects of her own and at times co-hosts events with her mother.
Most people have commended Mai Titi for grooming her daughters to become financially independent at such a tender age.

Zimbabwean comedienne, Mai Titi’s real name Felistas Murata has been involved in a wrangle with the producer of the film ‘A Life To Regret’ being produced by Billy Jeremiah Brown.
Mai Titi was set to make her debut acting career in the film starring popular Congolese Rumba musician, Awilo Longomba in the movie ‘A Life To Regret’ but BJB Films suggest they threw her out over unprofessionalism.
A Life To Regret is being produced by United Kingdom-based Burundi’s Billy Jeremiah Brown (BJB) Films.
A statement on the official BJB Films Facebook page reads:

The star-studded movie centres on the hostile relations between a stepmother and stepdaughter and will likely premiere this August.
In the film, Mai Titi was one of the lead characters playing the stepmother.
She has already been replaced by Tanzanian musician, Angel Mary Kato.
The decision to terminate Mai Titi’s contract did not sit well with Zimbabweans who thronged to BJB Films page to enquire about the fallout.
Some were very direct, accused BJB Films of using Mai Titi and dumping her.
Posting on her Social media pages, Mai Titi suggested she was not being paid. She said:

Mai Titi In Wrangle With Film Producer

Local comedienne and socialite, Mai Titi, born Felistus Murata, said that she will henceforth not partake in scandals and social media rants as she seeks to improve and grow her brand.
Mai Titi, who is currently in Tanzania, East Africa, for her acting debut, said she had been advised to put a stop to her social media spats and had taken heed to that. She said in a video:

Mai Titi Vows To Quit Social Media Rants

Gospel singer Mambo Dhuterere (real name Darlington Mutseta), has heaped praise on Mai Titi for successfully launching her debut album Rise digitally on Nash TV.
Mai Titi’s album launch was supported by fellow musicians Andy Muridzo, Kikky Badass, Bryn K and Nyasha David.
Dhuterere believes the singer and socialite, born Felistas Edwards, is a hard worker who managed to stand up with “men” during the album launch. Said Dhuterere:

She is very committed to her work and by God’s grace, she will reach far. God blesses people who work hard.
We need ladies in this music industry. It is not about the challenge.</blockquote>
Mai Titi launched the debut album less than two weeks after the release of Hush a single she collaborated with Tocky Vibes.
She revealed recently that she started her music career as a gospel artiste but with time realised that it was not good to confine herself to one beat or genre.
Some of Mai Titi’s popular songs include Utange Neni, Makatendeka, Dzora Mwoyo, Kereke Dhukeke, Ndinouya Ikoko, I Miss You, Dzoka Undinyepere and Letting You Go featuring Kazz Khalif.

Mambo Dhuterere Praises 'Hardworking'  Mai Titi

Speaking to The Herald, comedienne Mai Titi real name Felistus Murata, said she is getting married to her boyfriend based in England in Sandton, South Africa, in December this year.
She said her boyfriend paid lobola three years ago. Mai Titi said she will not move to the United Kingdom immediately after the marriage. Said Mai Titi:
<blockquote>I did not want people to know because they can be very cruel, but my boyfriend actually paid lobola and I have been customarily married for three years now. Social media is dangerous. Imagine someone managed to get his contact and started sending him messages asking him why he would want to be with an HIV-positive woman. He was very upset and he even showed me the messages so I just decided to keep my mouth shut until now,. My friends and relatives will be attending the wedding in Sandton and Titi and Fifi (her children) will be part of the bridal team. After the wedding I will not immediately move to the UK. We will just continue visiting each other like we are doing now.</blockquote>

Mai Titi born Felistus Maruta made headlines recently after she disclosed her HIV positive status, suffered stigmatisation at the hands of her ex-husband Tapiwa Mutikani as well as her mother in-law.
